Review content:
I recommend avoiding this Meineke at all costs. The experience I had there ranks up there with the 2 worst experiences I've had at an auto repair shop. I brought my car in for a check on some front brake scraping noise, thinking I probably needed new pads and to have the rotors turned. They recommended new pads, of course, and also new rotors. When I asked if they could turn the rotors, they said (and I'm not making this up) that you can't turn rotors (not just mine but any rotors) because it makes the brakes wobbly. When I asked if they measured the rotor thickness with calipers to see if there was enough left to turn they said they had. In fact, I watched the mechanic the whole time he was raising the car and taking off the wheels, and I know he didn't measure the rotor width. After telling them that I only wanted new pads and nothing more, they tried to sell me on the usual extra stuff (new rear shocks, etc.) I know I didn't need, probably thinking I was some naive kid (I'm 28 and I grew up in a family of mechanics, so I konw my way around a car). The worst part was when I picked the car up after they had finished. After I paid, they flat out refused to give me a work order receipt, and actually became slightly hostile about it, claiming that the credit card receipt was the only recepit I needed. Any service business that refuses to give a receipt detailing the work they did does not stand behind it. It's as simple as that. I'm never going back to this place, and I recommend everyone else avoid it.
