This locally printed newspaper company is not my favorite! I would like to see more local news, more positive news and less spelling/context type errors. During the recent elections the word "poll" was spelled "pole" by someone at the newspaper company! I also have a problem with late deliveries! If there were another newspaper printed in York I would be buying it! more

I must say my parents still get the newspaper each day, however my family only buys the Sunday News. The information and quality of the paper is such that I don't feel as if I'm missing too much by not reading it during the weekdays. I predominantly buy the Sunday paper for the coupons, and the classifieds etc. I get most of my daily news from the computer and the television. more

York Newspaper Co. is the sole owner of the only two local newspapers in York County. The papers are published as The York Daily Record and The York Dispatch, one in the morning and one late afternoon. I actually find that both papers contain pretty much the exact same news. I also wish they would print more local news and not focus so much on the violence in York City. Surely there is some good news to print. I do appreciate the music column, personal advice column and the weird news. There is also a Sunday Newspaper published by this same company and out of the three papers this one is my favorite. Packed full of coupons and lots of interesting articles and inserts. more

York Newspaper Company pretty much IS the news in York County. The paper isn't like a big city paper and often the news is a day old - especially national and global news. In this day and age of cutting edge technology one would expect more from a newspaper company. Granted, the local features are great and well done. However, I would like to see more in the way of restaurant reviews, etc. in the local section. The national and global news should be fresh - something that we didn't already hear about on the late night news or on the internet. Of course, being the only game in town, so to speak, they can pretty much print what they want and folks will buy it. It's a bargain at only .50 cents for the daily and 1.50 for the Sunday edition with advertisements and coupons. more
