Been going to med 7 carmichael for years as my primary care provider. Med 7 has been great in past but has been terrible last two times Ive been there. They charged me for a procedure that was unsuccessful and claimed i had to come back and pay for multiple procedures when other providers had done it in past in one visit. My last visit was a joke, brought an employee in with a laceration on his hand, which was still bleeding and wrapped in a towel, and because i didnt have my workers comp info on me they wouldnt see him. I asked them to treat him and i would just pay out of pocket or go get my workers comp info while they treated him, they said sorry we cannot see him without workers comp info. I then said, what am i supposed to do let him bleed to death because i didnt grab my workers comp info? They said you can take him to the hospital. I drove down the street to med center on madison and dewey and they took him right in and treated him. Med 7, you guys are a joke. more

Two yrs ago I had an very painful allergic reaction to a sulfa based inhaler prescribed by Med Seven Carmichael. Today I visited Med 7 Carmichael. I reminded them of my allergy. I was prescribed an inhaler that the pharmacist told me was sulfa based. I went directly back to Med 7 and the know-it-all tech there tried to tell me that I was not allergic to the medicine/inhaler. I was person who had painful welts all over their body for seven days! Why would they allow a technician to confront me in that manner? What kind of idiot argues with a patient about something that they obviously have no knowledge of? \r more

I went to Med 7 because accidently ripped my toenail half way off. The first thing they did was have me sign some papers. One in particular had a section highlighted and I had to initial that I read it. It explained that it ""may be necessary for me to return for follow up visits. There will be no charge for any follow up office visit(s) within the first 10 days of this initial operation or procedure..."" So, I thought, ""Wow, thats good."" When i returned two days later as requested by the doctor, I wasn't expecting to have to pay anything. Wrong, they wanted another $20. I\r said no, I signed a paper that said ten days no charge. They told me that didn't apply to me. Then why have me sign the paper? Then they told me that I didn't need to come back. I wanted to have my toe checked so I paid the $20, but they owe me.\r more

Such an awful experience. I heard the doctor loudly yell about getting me out of there and actually talk crap about me too! They were closing and clearly wanted to go home. I was not trying to keep them there mind you, because I wanted to be in bed myself. I'm in the medical field and have never been more embarrassed for a facility's poor patient care. They need a lot of improvement. I'll pay the ER copay next time...horrible! more

Excellent Care 10/21/2011

I've lived in Carmichael for 16 years and on several occasions, the most recent of which was a about 3 months ago, I have used this facility. If anything, the level of care and now, particularly since they are affiliated with the Sutter Medical system, their followup of patient visits has improved through the years. They are adequately staffed with friendly doctors, nurses and support staff to the extent that my wait time has been very reasonable, usually within 1/2 hour of arrival. This is my ""go-to"" place when I know I don't need to see my primary care physician or sub-specialist. I am very confident in their knowledge and highly recommed Med 7. It's particulrly good to know there are both a lab and x-ray capabilities at this location. more

outstanding Doc in the box emergency care First class ++++ 8/22/2011

Outstanding!! fast and quick service and treatment! Filled out most of the paperwork after I was seen. Take care of the patient, rest of paperwork later! Waited about 6 minutes before being seen. A far cry from the emergency room at Sutter I almost went to. Next door neighbor saw me getting into my car to go and I told her where I was going and she said I would be treated fast and efficiently!! All true.\r \r I had cut my left hand with a knife and it was very deep just below the little finger on the palm. Kept a paper towel on tight finally stopped bleeding. Was hoping I did not have to go It was very deep and just a minor bump and it started again. So after wife put on a double bandage and I finished two beers and two huge tacos, went there Found them nearby via a yahoo search Doc in the boxI can't say enough how well I was treated 8 stiches or so, so it was deep cut!! I hope I don't ever have to go again, but for an eergency, I know where to go! Thanks Doc K and all the staff for the excellent treatment I got tonite. more

Terrible Service by Carmicheal Med 7 provider 9/6/2010

I am writing because of the terrible service I received, that I felt was racist. For over the last 18 years, I lived in the Carmichael community: But the outrageous service I received 9-05-10, as was absolutely unacceptable. Yesterday, I had a need to go in for Emergency Care at your Med 7 Urgent Care Center in Sacramento, CA. After calling my own doctor's office: I was referred to ""Med 7 Urgent Care Center"" of Carmichael. I went in the early afternoon, on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at about 11:00 am. Comply with your requested (""Med 7) to fill out 3 of your required forms. While waiting to see a doctor, I was called up to receptionist window to prepay for service, I gave her my Visa credit card to prepay, a few moments later she approached me and stated my card was decline and she claimed she heard a tone/sound from the card machine it was declining my card. Oddly, I questioned her machine, and that it must be in error. At that point I told her, I felt I would wait and see my own doctors office because they only ask for a co pay fee and then billed me. not very people friendly more

Professional Doc in the Box 3/7/2010

Reception area is clean and organized. Wait line is well designed so you know where to stand. The front desk took my info and I was called in the order that I was received. I didn't have to wait very long at all...maybe 15 mins. When in the patient office I waited there for maybe another 5 mins. Dr. took the time to talk with me and let me ask questions instead of steamrolling me out of there. Better experience than my primary care physician's office. Pros: Drs are good here. Cons: Medical records are discarded within a short time thereafter more

Manzanita Office 5/24/2009

Receptionist was not helpful or knowledgeable. Didn't want to be bothered with anything outside the norm. I wasted my morning and went home WITHOUT ever seeing a doctor because she was not willing to help me. What a lousy place!!!!! Pros: Close by Cons: Unhelpful Office Staff more

Service with NO smile and will NOT even call the Pharmacy to order prescription. 7/24/2008

I've been going to this place since 1994 and usually have no trouble seeing a doctor. But recently I have encountered very poor service such as unfriendly receptionists and frequent mistakes by staff such as writing incorrect name on prescriptions. First, this place used to have a doctor assigned (MD), but now you may encounter an OD (a homeopathic doctor). What is a homeopathic doctor doing in an ""urgent care"" facility? Overall, I've had a better experience visiting my car dealer for monthly maintenance than visiting this place. Judge for yourself, but be sure they spell your name correctly and that you have the right prescription. more
