Fed up!!!! 5/2/2017

I had been going to Mke and Mechanics Pride since they were a small business many years ago. They have since grown and take on more jobs than they can handle. My daughter took her car in and they worked on the throttle body for a fuel problem. $300 dollars and two days later, she picked it up. On her way home her car stalled in the middle of Division. I called Mike and he started telling me I probanly needed a whole new throttle body. Ended up fixing myself. My son took his car in for idling problem. Quoted $700+ for repair which took 4 days. His car ran for a day and it was back to idling like crap. Took it back and they said they fixed it right. Afew days later same thing. My son refused to take it back. Then, I had my dodge ram in for rough idle. Mike convinced me to replace all the fuel injectors (on a v-10 engine) after $2000 and a week without my truck I picked it up. I asked them to save the old parts for me but they "accidently" came up missing. My truck ran better, but wouldn' more

Do not recommend 7/22/2016

I called these guys the other day after reading all these good reviews on Google. I was stuck in the parking lot at work and needed to find a place to tow my car to. They told me to bring it down, they would be able to do a free diagnostic and we would go from there. I got the car started and still took it in, even though no tow was needed. I was met by a very nice mechanic who paid the street meter for me and walked me up to talk with their service writer. He was apparently in the middle of his lunch (around 4pm when they close at 5:30pm). I was asked why I had still brought it in. I told him it took me 45 mins to start and I needed to know what was wrong with it. He asked for the key and told me they would call the following day. When I showed confusion I was informed that there was 35 cars ahead of mine and they would look at mine tomorrow. He then seemed to think it was ridiculous to ask if my car would be locked inside over night or left on the street.\r At 10am the follo more

Reliable and trustworthy. Easy to work with. 7/14/2010

I have only been using them for a few months, but I have already been in a number of times. I have had a lot of trouble with my car recently and Mechanics Pride has been very helpful. They are clear about what they are doing. When I brought my car in to be serviced, they tried to fix the problem I was having, and I thought everything was done, but I had to bring it back. But, Mike only charged me for the parts that ended up being the problem, not the parts used in trying to fix the problem. So, they have saved me money that way. I have been there several times now. I had a couple of flat tires, a regular tuneup at 80,000 miles and they serviced my transmission. I went back due to an issue with my ignition. My car was shutting off and it took a while to figure out was wrong, but they have been persistent about finding the problem. more

Friendly, professional, and accommodating. 6/28/2010

I live in southern Oregon, but when I was in Spokane for 2 months I called a friend and they recommended Mechanics Pride Tire and Automotive. The people there treated me like the Queen of England. I used them for an oil changed. They put paper in for their shoes, delivered me to the hospital and picked me up when they were done. They told me that my rear brakes needed attention, but that the front ones were very good. After conferring with my husband he agreed, so I went back to get the rear brakes replaced. Everything that they said they were going to do was done at the time they had specified. They were friendly, professional, and understood and accommodated my situation. They even recommended a restaurant a block and a half away, and it was a good restaurant. I have nothing bad to say; I would highly recommend them. The only trouble is that they are on a corner, and there was minimal parking. That means they are busy though, which to me showed that they have a lot of repeat customers. So in a way, the fact that there was minimal parking actually recommended them. more

I wish Mike would have taken the time to do a little research before selling me tires. 6/23/2010

We stopped at the Honda dealership in Spokane to get an oil change for our Civic hybrid and they could not accommodate us. Mike did the oil change and recommended that we get tires as we were down to the wear bars. He recommended a tire and we purchased four. Our gasoline mileage in the hybrid immediately dropped by 15 miles a gallon. This is quite a drop and we drove home to California hoping that it would improve. It has averaged 30+ miles per gallon instead of the 40+ miles per gallon we were getting before we replaced the tires. Mike should have researched which Cooper tire would be best for the hybrid rather than just selling us his top of the line tires based on the tire size. This will end up costing us hundreds of extra gallons of gas for the life of the tires. more

Very knowledgeable and professional. They know what they are doing. 5/18/2010

They were really fast. I appreciated that. And they were able to work around my schedule, which was also nice. Sometimes I felt they were trying to pitch things a little bit, but other than that, they were great. This is my second time going to Mechanics Pride. They changed a wheel, replaced a CV joint, and they repaired and replaced a few things to pass the emissions test. They knew what my car needed and they found other things that were not necessarily involved with the problem I went there for, and they were able to help. more

Not too expensive and they do their work quick. 10/19/2005

This is a great shop for tires for cars or trucks, oil changes, lube jobs, brakes, and other auto repairs. No appointment is necessary and it doesn't take long for them to get to work on your car. They're not too expensive and they will match any other auto repair shop's prices in the area. All of the mechanics are certified and they don't look like grease monkeys. There's a nice little waiting area that's clean and has a little tv to watch cable shows while you wait and there's coffee too. PROS: quick and good prices CONS: more
