McGee Auto Service & Tire

I went there last Friday11/25/2011 to get oil changes for my two vehicles and also get my brakes fixed on one of the vehicles. I was in an accident 2 weeks prior and the collision office doesnt fix brakes but told me that I needed my brakes fixed and that my brake fluid was leaking out. So I went to Brandon Tire and Auto and I was given a quote for over $1000 to fix everything and I had it all done. Only to find that my by the following tuesday my brake fluid light and my brake light was on again. I returned the vehicle on 11/30/2011. The owner was very understanding and fix the leak for me without me paying anything additional. more

I had been a customer of Brandon Tire & Auto for about 4 years. I noticed in the past year that they started to recommend things I knew I didn't need. My family owns a mechanic shop in another part of Florida, so when I was told by BT&A I needed to replace my radiator hoses at 90K miles, I had it checked at my families shop. Of course, the hoses were fine. BT&A also told me I needed my brakes done ASAP, but when I took them to my families shop to get done, I was told I still had about 25% left on them. Also, add to it that I bought 75K mile tires from BT&A and they lasted 40K. They told me I should have had an alignment prior to having them put on, well they were the ones that sold them to me - that should have been mentioned. Nope, got 1/2 the life out of them instead. Yes the oil changes are cheap there, and they are very friendly, but I think they went to the seminar on 'how to pad a ticket' recently. After 3 times of being screwed, I have since found a new repair place. more

In reference to Nill,\r I guess if you are not a "good 'ol boy" you will get screwed with. I have a very similar story. My girlfriend had her alignment done there, 3 months later she took her vehicle back and they told her she needed an alignment! What the heck? Really? They also tried to sell her on some other stuff that she didn't need. My father was a mechanic and I know exactly how some of these guys work. Their integrity is shakey at best. They do have inexpensive oil changes there, but here is the catch:\r 1. You MUST make an appointment\r 2. You MUST pay cash\r 3. You MUST listen to them while they attempt to BS you into buying a new air filter that was just replaced, "recommend" tune up and a bunch of other crap it does not need.\r \r Situation 2: They tried screwing me over on one of my vehicles I wanted them to check out. Long story short - I took it to a mechanic in S. Tampa who came highly recommended and not only did he give me advice as to what I could/should change on my own more

BT&A has been taking care of my family's cars for over 20 yrs. Im even greeted by name when I walk in the door. \r Prompt serivce with quality work at fair price. \r Any minor issues were quickly addressed.\r 175,000+ miles on my Honda more

I've known the people at Brandon Tire for more than 25 years, and they have been taking care of my cars like they were their own for the last 9. Excellent service and proactive troubleshooing has I'm certain prevented additional trips for service. Always a friendly smile and right to work . more

I was glad to see that AAA had an approved repair center in Tampa Fl, while I was on vacation my vehicle quit running and I called AAA. They reccomended Brandon Tire and Auto in Valrico Fl, and I was very happy they did. The service was great and they went above and beyond to get my car back on the road so I could continue my vacation. They also gave my children and myself a ride to get some lunch and then picked us back up after the car was rapaired. I just wish that the place that services my car in Atlanta Ga had the same kind of customer service that I recieved from them more

I have been useing Brandon Tire and Auto for several several years, and have always been treated with respect. They are a AAA approved auto repair center, and will only sell you what is needed. They do not push to sell you other items, they only tell you what is needed and give you the option to repair it. I would not take my cars any other place, they are the best. more

I had my Truck towed to their shop for repair/ replace of lockup up motor which was due to driving through large puddle of water at a higher speed than I should have been, therefore water was taken into the motor through the Carberator. Everything on the truck was working the day this happened. When Brandon tire called me to come and pick up my truck that the insurance company agreed to fix, I was told that my battery was no good and I would need to get a jump to take it home. I told them that my battery was good the day of the engine locking up and that there was no reason why my battery should have gone bad. My insurance agreed. BUT, I had to pay for a new battery anyway. Oh, did I mention that the next day that they were open after my truck was towed to them, I went to see what the damage was and I noticed that my hood was open and my hood light was on and working well! Anyway, after picking up my truck, on my way home I noticed that my A/C was now not working also. Now I go back more

We have been going to this this business for many years. My husband being a mechanic on the side, and knowing all these is on car care gives this place a thumbs up for service! Value and customer service is what keeps us going there.WE are loyal patrons because we've always been treated fairly.We have several tire dealerships closer to us, but we'll drive the extra mile for this company. more
