Mc Intosh Trail Family Prctc

I have been using McIntosh Trail for many years. When the practice first started they were great. Now that they have expanded they have become a poor healthcare provider. They are to big to keep up with everything. They will neglect to call when your blood work returns and there is an issue. You have to wait at min a couple of hours regardless of whether you have an appointment or not. They do however, bring you back to the room quicker with an appointment but once back there you will be left to sit for hours. They can NEVER get the insurance coding correct and therefore you will receive bills from them weeks after the service saying you owe when it should have been covered. Calling and trying to get them to fix their mistakes is a joke. They will tell you they will check into it and return your call but you are left never hearing from them again until you make the call back to their office only to receive the same service as before. My family will not be returning to this practice. We have switched health care providers. more

I have been going to McIntosh Trail for 5 years, and have never felt like they were doing anything more than the minimum. They force patients to come in for an office visit ($90) to get prescriptions refilled among many other faults. The straw that broke the camel's back? As I said, I have been a patient for 5 years, requiring only annual routine visits. I just switched employers and the HR folks failed to get my insurance coverage set up in time for my annual visit (Not MTFP's fault). Rather than allowing me to go through the visit, they wanted me to pay the whole office fee up front b/c the insurance company did not have me on file. They should have seen me and billed the insurance BAU, and then bill me for whatever the insurance did not cover which would have been $0 since HR is in the process of settling their paper work issue. Any how, this is just a place in business to make money, not help people. more

While the Dr.'s of this office are friendly and spend time with the patient, the rest of the staff leaves alot to be desired. The support staff seem quite uncaring and annoyed at best. Good luck getting someone on the phone if you need to fill a percription. I spent 25 minute on hold just today, and never spoke to a person. Finaly I hung up, and will be looking into going to a different Dr.'s office. Too much of a hassle. Cons outwiegh the Pros. I am a mom of 2 kids. When I come in typically my children are with me. We are welcomed and cared for by the girls as if we have known them forever. They call us all by name. Some of the nurses I have never seen and they know my childrens name.\r The doctors treat me as if I was their daughter. Providing such service and genuine care. In example. I just went in this week to learn I was Pregnant with #3. I have recently been laid-off and the doctor took time to call his daughter. Who was going through the same situation. Just to find out what resources are out there. He let me know I was not alone. He made a situation that could have been a scary expericing with out my husband there, a comforting one.\r I will never go anywhere else. I am greatful to have such wonderful people in my life. They go far beyond their call of duty. They fresh coffee doesn't hurt either. LOL Pros: The most dedicated group of men and women I have ever met more
