My second review was for a recent check engine light diagnostic test I needed done. While the price for the diagnostic was cheap, the quote I got for repairs was way too much. I was told I needed new engine gaskets and a tune-up which would run me $1200. So I asked the service manager how much it would cost just to get the engine gaskets done (since I'm perfectly capable of doing a tune-up myself). He said around $500 just to do the gaskets. So I asked him, "So your telling me it'll cost $600+ just to do a tune-up on a 4-cyl?" and his reply was "uh yeah". So I picked up my car, drove to Advanced auto parts, bought the highest component plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button for $60 and did the tune-up in under an hour myself. more

I cannot say enough postive things about Matlock Tire. The owners are wonderful and every person I have dealt with has been kind. The quality of work is top notch and they are honest! I have had other business' recommend work that I got a second opionion on there and have found out that it doesn't really need as much as recommended by another company. They are average price. But they always go the extra mile for customers. They also treat women the same as men. more
