My second review was for a recent check engine light diagnostic test I needed done. While the price for the diagnostic was cheap, the quote I got for repairs was way too much. I was told I needed new engine gaskets and a tune-up which would run me $1200. So I asked the service manager how much it would cost just to get the engine gaskets done (since I'm perfectly capable of doing a tune-up myself). He said around $500 just to do the gaskets. So I asked him, "So your telling me it'll cost $600+ just to do a tune-up on a 4-cyl?" and his reply was "uh yeah". So I picked up my car, drove to Advanced auto parts, bought the highest component plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor button for $60 and did the tune-up in under an hour myself.
