Matina's is hands down the finest bridal gown salon in the Cleveland area. From start to finish the ladies at Matina's make the entire experience one that every bride dreams of. they are personal and professional and i would never consider going anywhere else. more

I recently got married and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. I was treated like such a lady and as though my wedding really mattered to them. The sales staff was so knowledgeable and easy to work with. Alterations for myself and my bridesmaids were excellent. Their prices were also much less than other stores. If your getting married Matina's should be your one and only stop. Pros: knowledgeable staff and easy more

Matinas has been known for years as a very upscale east-side bridal shop. Its newest location on Chagrin Boulevard in Beachwood does not disappoint. Best service and dresses in Cleveland! 2/22/2010

Both of my sisters bought their wedding gowns here, and we just went this past weekend for my dress. The entire staff was wonderful, so I am totally blown away by these negative comments. My middle sister and my mother went with us, as well as my sister's 18 month old baby (by the way who was cranky). Amanda was my consultant, and she helped me with great insight, helping me to find a dress that COMPLIMENTED my body. At first, I was looking at the mermaid dresses, because I am thin, and I thought it would show more curves. Well, Amanda and my sisters kindly pointed out that I do not have curves, thus I look like a stick figure, and by going with an A-line, I would look more proportioned. I let Amanda choose the next one, and it ended up being "the one!" AND, I know she just wasn't in it to make a big sale, because it ended up being one of the lower-priced dresses. Matina's is The place to find a great dress 10/1/2009

I got married in August '06. My soon to be sister in law is now engaged and I looked Matina's up online and came across these comments. I had a good experience buying my dress there. I got a designer dress and some other accesories as well. Overall I was satisfied with the service. The day of my wedding I took my dress out and discovered the sash had been wrinkled during transport. Lily (the owner) dropped everything and rushed over to steam and tie the sash for me, where I was getting married. I was really appreciative! I don't think brides should be scared off by these comments. I'm sure every bridal shop has some horror stories it's a tough business. I think brides shoud take advantage of all dress shops to find that perfect dress. There selection was the best in the Cleveland area. If you don't like the shop, leave and go somewhere else . Don't let these comments prevent you from finding that perfect dress! Good luck! more

Excellent Service and Beautiful Dresses 5/18/2009

After spending the day looking for gowns in the Beachwood Area, I can easily say that my experience at Matina's was the best. My consultant, Karen, was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, however, was not overly fussy which I really appreciated. I never felt pressured to try on any dresses I did not like. Their dresses were all one of a kind and absolutely gorgeous. A dress for every personality. I am shocked by the terrible reviews that Matina's has gotten, as they are opposite of my experience. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the search for a wedding gown. more

This is a response to the review by Rachel. We are very sad to hear that your experience was so unpleasant. We do normally help our brides into their dresses unless the customer requests that their mother, friend, or sister help them. On this occasion the sister chose to help the bride into the gowns and the request was honored. The bridal consultant did help to clip the gowns as the gowns were too big on the bride. Our designers make the decision for us as to what size the sample will be. The consultant did give the customer her professional opinion on each gown to be as helpful as possible. The gown that the customer had liked unfortunately is not available with the changes the bride requested. As to our website, it does need to be updated. The designer the bride requested we will not be going forward with so special orders may not be placed, only samples may be sold.\r We again are sorry for the unpleasant experience that you had. pricey dresses, mean people, dirty parking lot, old carpet, not friendly at all. We walked in and turned around after a black haired girl snarled at my mom. She wouldn't even give us the time of day. So we left and bought our dress elsewhere. Pros: not a single one Cons: snarly clerks more

I too bought a dress from matinas and can tell the reviewer before me that sometimes accidents happen. My experience was more like the rest of the reviews. Horrible from beginning to end. My dress was altered at the last minute, it did not fit, no one cared and my wedding was ruined because of the dress. Why tempt fate. Stay away ladies. GO and judge for yourself!!! 6/16/2008

I am really surprised of all these negative feedbacks. I was reluctant at first to go to Matinas as I read some of these reviews. But I still decided to go and check it out for myself and I am SOOO GLAD I did. I stopped by Matinas as I was looking for a high end wedding dress. I couldnt have been happier!! Rada was of a great help to me. She was very patient and assisted me until I found my perfect dress. To the contrary of one of the reviews I read, even after paying the balance, I still received all the help and assistance I needed. Everyone was sooo great and vey friendly. To all future brides that are looking for high end and great selection of wonderful gowns, I would highly recommend for you to go and judge for yourself. I LOVE MATINA'S 6/3/2008

I am not getting married till June 13, 2009, but i selected my dress from Matina's it is a beautiful Vera Wang! I got an amazing price on it and they have taken very good care of me! 2 days after I put down a payment on the dress I thought maybe it wasnt the right one. I called up and was in tears, the OWNER said to come back in and try it on and if it isnt "the dress" then she would refund my money. I went back in and tried on the dress, i did not have an appointment or anything but they still took very good care of me! I decided it was the dress and we have ordered our bridesmaid dresses from there as well! They have been great to me and patient! No one was ever snobby or rude, and I have been there plenty of times without appointments. They really dont mind as long as you are flexible with them too! I think most of you have had a bad time is bc you are the SNOBBY BRIDES that go in there acting like you are better than everyone else. I think it is you with the problems not more
