What can I say but this place was very very bad! The portions were a absolute joke! and I'm not a big eater 1 plate of salad for 5 PEOPLE!!! 2 people in are party ordered same dish of chicken so they brought one dish 2 little pieces TO SPLIT!!!! WTF they even made a comment that the 2 pieces of chicken are to split like don't ask for more... the appetizer was a meat pie the size of a hamburger bun for 5 people to share!!!!! This is a $50 a head meal,The waiter brought bread we each took a piece from the small basket and he took the rest back to the kitchen ,service was bad no one never came back to check on us please don't even try this place very cheezy decor very dark and old. the first review is done by someone like the owner Pros: Never have to go back Cons: Everything more

fabulous for groups, or just the 2 of you! 1/4/2007

Marrakesh was excellent. As you enter, you are greeted by kind staff, and seated at one of many round and comfortable tables, surrounded by tapestry and pillows. You are served a traditional Morroccan meal of lentil soup, vegetable medley (eggplant, cucmber, and carrots), an appetizer of chicken, pistachios, hinted with cinnamon in a flaky phyllo crust. For our main course, we chose the lamb, rabbit, and duck option, which was served with plums, raisins, and couscous. For dessert they served baklava and fresh fruit, and warm mint tea. I thought the service staff was attentive, knowlegable, and extremely friendly. The atmosphere was fun (complete with belly dancer!) and the food was outstanding. It is about $50/person, not including the wine, and you will not leave hungry or bored! I am a classically trained chef, an expert in fine dining and service, and world cuisine. It is my opinion that those seeking an event as opposed to a plain evening out should definately try Marrakesh. It is also my opinion that the gentleman that wrote the last review ought to have gone to Denny's for Moons Over My Hammy. Perhaps that would have been more to his liking. Bon appetit!! more

too pricey and bad tasting food 7/28/2006

Wanted to try something different last weekend and took my wife. They didnt give menus and they had 3 different courses to choose from, no idea what the cost was and the waiter didnt bother to tell us. Turned out to be 50 bucks per person and we hated the roast lamb, desert and pretty much everything that was served. Would never go again!! Pros: Nice ambience.. Cons: Bad food, bad service and too pricey more

A Morocco whoa 2/4/2004

Marrakesh, though listed here as a French restaurant is actually a Moroccan establishment. Such a word is unequal to describing the scene, an exotic display of silk and cushion. There is a limited menu, but it boasts a dinner bearing virtually everything that Moroccan cuisine can offer. Velvety couscous, a creamy vegetable soup and an array of duck and rabbit in dates on a vast platter figure here conspiring along with belly dancer jangle and jiggle to evoke an encampment in the shadow of the Atlas. A memorable experience for a buck-toothed provincal like meself. Pros: Ambiance, Authentic Food more
