Mariwood Mobile Home Park

I lived in mariwood for 5 years 2001-2006. while i lived there the manager switched 3-4 times. all the managers never cared a bout the tenants unless they were the favorites to them. the maint. man would watch things that went on and turn a blind eye. the maint man would come on my lot and steal our rakes, garbage cans, tools, lawn mowers and even toys and when you would confront him he would threaten to throw you out of the park. We watched him steal things as did our neighbors. when he would steall our garbage cans we used regular trash bags that we had to keep in side due to dogs tearing into them and making a mess and then the maint. guy would come over and yell and scream at us like we were dogs for there being a mess from the animals but every time we would buy garbage cans he would take them and we felt we were sorted out and they were trying to find a reason to evict us. my children were out of the city visiting relatives for 2 weeks and the day they got back here came the manager yelling and screaming at us saying my children had started a fight 3 days ago and that another tenant saw them.. i told the manager that was impossible but she insisted i shut up or get evicted she then ordered my children and even me to stay confined to our lot and she would even make a curfew for my children claiming that if my children weren't on there own lot by a certain time she would evict us. i went on vacation out of state and while i was on vacation my home was burnt to the ground. kinda weird huh? the nmanager had gave me a paer to sign before i went on vacation and told me i had no choice but to sign it or move .. the letter stated my lot rent was going up to 1,000.00 a month.. i never signed the paper. if you aren't there favorite then you are automatically there enemy. stay to yourself does no good as that is what we did and it seemed they hated us for not bothering any one. i was really wondering when other people would see how mariwood actually was. no-one should have to put up with the way the park is ran. more

i drove thru thiscommunity today. looking to buy a home. but there is many lots empty has homes. dogs many were loose.my car almost was hit, due to someone running a stop sign,plus his speed was over 30mph. the streets are terrible. yet it is close to my work, I wont be stopping there. now I read all these things about this place,it is a run don't stop. you need some one who cares about a home community to clean it up. for this will get worst. gald i didn;t get anyone atthe office.sign said open-yet no one was there. thank you gald I drove around to see this place. more

I wish these reviews had been on here prior to me entering into a contract with these people!! I love the home and the community but since moving in it has been brought to my attention that managers are replaced every year...well-they just replaced another one 6 weeks ago and all hell has broken loose. I guess this is par for the course around here. I have been here two months with the agreement of 6 months free rent to get this home livable. Today I wake up to a notice saying my tenants aren't authorized ???? and they want a security deposit!!??? And you can't even find the title to my home???? PLEASE!!! Pros: friends live here, good trees, good people in community Cons: TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!! more

my family moved in to this place 19 years ago, it was very nice and well maintained.. wow, 19 years later. they let any ""trailor trash move in, illegal deals that the maintenance man watch's go down,kids walking the streets,holes in the road, homes abandoned, empty lots, and the lot rent has gone up evry year since we moved in... it is now over 400 ... run dont walk dont stop... have you ever heard of a manager that doesnt have the main offices phone number???thats how bad this place is.. and the maintenance man singles out those who dare to question his motives... hmmmm... Wow the last person in 08 that wrote the review could have been me! We have been here for about 15 years and we used to brag about our community not being a typical trailor park. Now it is everything you expect one to be. Abandoned homes, vacant lots ( over 100), no water , creek ful of waste, people moving in on homes with no plumbing or electric, criminals moving in, playground horrible, pool still not open 6-10-09, check police reports on Indy.gov, you will be scared. Theft, break ins, too many non working cars, teenagers walking streets all hours of the night! One night they were using a couch as a sled on rollers and they were pushing it through the community while others rode in it! Manager has never managed before, so she is just smoking and socializing, pit bulls running loose, cars speeding.. should we say more?? RUN DONT AWAY..DONT WALK! Lot rent is 401 and going up!!! If you dont believe me, just drive through! You will not stop. Pros: location Cons: no mngmt, rent too high, crime abondoned homes,etc more

We have lived here for close to twelve years and it seems we have a new manager every year. With the new manager things seem to get worse instead of better as my lot rent continues to go up and up. Every year with the exception of las year the rent goes up ten dollsars, so this year it was raised twenty dolars. Pros: Great location. OK swimming pool Cons: higth lot rent ,pool not opened ,unfriendly staff, playground not much don't blink you'll miss it more

It's one of the nicer mobile home communities. We've lived there 11 years. The lot rent is too high and not enough maintenance gets done. We had a sewage pipe problem and they dug up our yard, fixed the pipe then left a large pile of dirt in our yard. We ended up having to fix our yard ourselves and 2 years later still have a low spot in our yard and are still trying to get the grass to grow back. Also, when the maintenance man mows the empty lot next to ours, he gets grass all over the underpining (sp?) of our home and sometimes my car! Pros: Nice neighbors, lots of mature trees, off street parking, looks great from the road, nice pool, pretty nice but small clubhouse Cons: High rent, a lot of empty lots, very old playground, too many changes of managers/owners more
