This restaurant just threw my 80 year old mother out on the street along with my wife and young daughter because they asked for a different table. My mother is an asthmatic and may well be in the emergency room before the evening is over. They're nuts. Stay away! more

Good italian food 12/20/2008

I just had my first Mario's experience after hearing great reviews from neighbors here in Sunnyside. I really enjoyed my meal. I had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer with a glass of chianti, the lasagna and then the italian cheesecake with an espresso. It wasn't too expensive and the food was succulent. The restaurant is rather small so if you are with a large group you may want to reserve in advance. The decor is very simple but inviting and warm. However, I didn't find any of the waitresses to be friendly and accomodating at all which is why i didn't give this place 5 stars. Somehow I would have really like to see a smile...maybe I caught them on a bad day? You let me know. Pros: Food Cons: Service more

Neighborhood Classic. 8/8/2005

This place has been around for years. Family fave. The food is awesome, The menu is not that broad, but it is tasty. Good for a sunday- let -me take the family for dinner typre place. We go here all the time and never expect less. A classic! Pros: fast serving , cozy spot Cons: parking more
