Mapleside Farms

It was my 84 year old mother's wish to dine at Mapleside for her birthday. I called the restaurant to make sure that we could be seated at 8:00 pm (their last seating of the day as advertised) and made a reservation. We arrived on time but had to search for the hostess who left us to fend for ourselves. Frankly, we felt unwelcome through the entire meal as it was obvious the waitress wanted to go home. I called to make sure that we could be seated at 8:00 pm (their last seating of the day as advertised) and made a reservation. We arrived on time but we were treated in a rude manner by the hostess who couldn't be bothered to seat us. Frankly, we were made to feel unwelcome through the entire meal as it was obvious the waitress wanted to go home. We were all disappointed, especially my mother. Mapleside Farms is one of the most enjoyable places in Northeast Ohio. It features a restaurant with a scenic view overlooking an apple orchard. The food at the restaurant is great, and often follows an apple theme. It is on the expensive side but well worth it for an occasional family trip. I am not sure if the apple farm is always open, but I know in the fall they invite groups for hayrides and have a type of fall festival that is a great time for all ages. Your children can even get pumpkins from a pumpkin patch. In the summer, an ice cream store is open, but I am not sure about the year-round status of the store. The restaurant also has a gift shop attached to it that sells apples and apple products as well as a bunch of neat little gifts and souvenirs. Recommended for everyone. more

Mapleside Restaurant sits on a hill overlooking an apple orchard valley. Beutiful view anytime of the year. They have home cooked mels and are famous for their sticky buns. Rustic atmosphere with a large fireplace. They have banquet facilities. Sundy brunch buffet. Moderate prices. There is also a gift shop and market where you can buy apples, candy, etc. Great place to take the kids. more
