The Libbywalker didn't listen well the first time, but this second time in group on Saturday morning, I am learning what MALCOLM already taught Libby, the 90 pound Chocolate Lab! I am delighted with the work that he did when she first went in for the two week training, the training he gave Libby and me in individual session, and I love the group training on Saturday morning. I think that the entire crew who I have worked with and come to respect and love are awsome. Don't hesitate to take your pup, or older dog to them. You will not be disappointed. more

We had two out of control rescued dogs who would also got into fights with each other. One of them would get hurt when they fought. So in order to keep them and have peace in our home we went to MBF. Malcolm was our trainer and did a great job! After 2 weeks both dogs followed commands well and continued to improve once we were trained. Also both dogs can heal and follow all the same commands off leash as well! It's been wonderful. Now Malcolm is doing agility training with them and they have so much fun its amazing. He has always shown our dogs lot's of affection and they become real wiggle butts when they see him; their tails wag so fast. He also saved the day by showing me how to handle them to cut their nails. That alone was worth every penny since before they would not let me cut their nails even with 2 people helping me. Malcolm knows dogs. All the staff seem very nice and Brenda is great and always helpful. Kudos and thanks to MBF. more

We have looked around for quite some time for the right training facility to help train and correct some behavior issues for our German Shepherd, Deuce. We have been extremely happy with the results thus far and more importantly, the professionalism that Cindy and Malcolm, trainers, have exhibited throughout. Reading through some of the negative reviews makes me wonder if we are talking about the same facility as throughout Deuce's training boot camp, we called and spot checked on a regular basis and NEVER had any issues or witnessed anything but expert and professional training and attention at all times. We continue to get regular training as part of the program we selected and again, the level of attention and focus to helping Deuce and us is always 110%. If you are looking for proper training classes and a first class facility to look after your dog, I would not hesitate to select Man's Best Friend !!! We heard mixed reviews about Man's Best Friend, but decided to check it out ourselves. Glad we did!!!!! They help turn our dog Boone around. He use to be scared of everything and everyone. He would not listen and was antisocial. After two weeks with Malcolm it’s like he is a different dog. He listens, follows commands and is a happy social puppy. I recommend that if anyone is looking for training classes for a dog that you do the research yourself. Go check them out and see if it’s for you. I am glad we did. Thanks Man’s Best Friend!!!! more

My six year old American Bulldog mix, Mr. Freeze, used to react to almost every external stress factor resulting in barking, aggression and other negative behaviors. After a two week intensive training program with Malcolm, Mr. Freeze has transformed into the dog I have always wanted. He is much calmer, almost never barks, walks on a leash properly and is now responsive to verbal commands. The household environment is quieter, less stressful and a whole lot more enjoyable. The training is definitely worth the investment--I should have done it a long time ago! Thank you so much Malcolm and MBF!! more

Thank you Man’s Best Friend, for helping Bailey learns how to be more obedient. I know that with continued practice she will become all that we know she can be. When she came home from her 2 week training she was much calmer and willing to learn, and we are learning a lot too! more

My experience at MBF has been awesome! Cyndi is my puppies trainer and she has been wonderful; always incouraging and helpful. I adopted 2 puppies about 6 months ago and quickly found that I was completely overwhelmed. After 2 weeks with Cyndi, they were different dogs; much calmer and manageable. Thanks Cyndi! more

Thank you Cindy and Malcom for transforming this mischievous girl into a little sweetheart. :) I got Daisy from the Houston doberman rescue group when she was one. Whoever had her obviously didn't train her on anything. Now she's potty trained, and will sit, stay, come, and heel. And the best part is she still has all her wonderful personality. Brenda is such a great receptionist, Daisy gets very excited to come to Man's Best Friend for boarding. more

four of our dogs have been trained, and borded with mans best friend.Three akitas, one german shepherd and one beloved mutt. For over 20 years we have trusted them with our pets care. I don't know anyone else I would trust with my dogs. Brenda is the absolute best and now we have malcom helping train our 5 month old akita.after his two week puppy boot camp we were already for a group class. Not only does he love it but we get a well behaved dog. more

Our blue heeler Maximus was out of control, destroying the house, refusing to listen to any commands, and constantly spazzing out... We tried all the heresay tricks before devoting our time and money to a full dog obedience training facility. The Crew welcomed us and were very courteous and professional at our initial visit, they played with our dogs, and explained every possible aspect of what they offered. They answered all of our questions and immediately we felt this was the best place for Maximus. We gave full trust to Malcolm, Max's trainer, and what we found when we returned was a different Max. Not only did Malcolm explain what our dog was doing wrong but he showed us where our thinking was incorrect. He not only trained Max but Malcolm is currently training my family to be better dog owners. The weekly meetings show us the progess we are making as owners and the progress Max is making as an obedient dog. Do not lose hope in your pet, if you love him/her this place will make you a better owner and your pet a more obedient one and you will be happier for it. Thank you Doug more

We brought our 4 year old boxer Ace to Malcolm a few months ago. Ace was very aggressive and wild. We thought there was no hope for him after he attacked and almost killed his brother.But we brought him in and he spent 6 weeks in doggy boot camp and since has had weekly visits. HE IS NOT THE SAME DOG! Im amazed. He can go in public and be near other dogs finally. Its been a lot of work and we had to train ourselves too. But we cannot thank Malcolm enough. We love him and Ace loves him. I more than recommend Man's Best Friend! If you stick to the program you will not be disappointed. more

Our yellow lab puppy was a handful until we took her to Man's Best Friend. We started in June and are so glad we did. She is 7 months old now and just a great pet. Malcolm is so good to her and more importantly, to us! We needed the training as much as she did. The staff is wonderful and there are cameras everywhere watching the treatment of your pet when you are not there. I feel secure boarding her there. All I know is that Daisy can't wait to get in the door at Man's Best Friend! more

I couldn't be more impressed on how the training for my Italian Greyhound was; she is off the chain brilliant! I thank everyone that helped my Aphrodite with her training and not only her but also me... I had no idea how just the simplest things can really change my life. Max most definitely took to his training. He has continued to obey the commands we learned. He is most certainly a bit stubborn though and is determined to play with out 21 year old cat, Sly. We love our puppy. more

My parents want me to be a Therapy Dog, so I’m in class here at Man’s Best Friend to learn to be a Good Boy in Obedience. When I turn 1, I will start my Therapy Training. Misty has been very patient with me and I am aspiring to become her youngest graduate yet! How totally cool cuz I am only 5 months old. I’m giving them a run for the money though cuz I am loaded with HPE (high puppy energy). How can you expect me to be good all of the time, I am just a kid. I was even the youngest pupil at Group Class. I have to admit Mondays are the best day for me cuz I know I am going to class and have fun. I have made many friends at Group too. LABS RULE! “Miracle Worker” is the best way I can describe what Deirdre and Man’s Best Friend has done for my eight year old, hard headed, stubborn cocker. Bam-Bam has really changed. He really listens and it shows. I am real happy and very very satisfied with his training. I can’t thank Deirdre and Man’s Best Friend enough. I can just say that if stubborn Bam-Bam could get trained, anyone’s pet can get trained. I will recommend Man’s Best Friend to everyone Thank you!! Kristian is AWESOME!! Bacardi used to be a very hyper and uncontrollable puppy. Kristian trained Bacardi and us on basic obedience. Bacardi is our “new” dog. If you think putting a dog in a kennel all day and making him wear a collar or "electric pinch" collar all day is an effective or positive way to train a dog then you are sadly mistaken. Things got off to a bad start when after I made a visit after one week of their two weak training program. I was very disappointed to find out they had been mispronouncing my dog's name and thought he was a female. It was clear that my dog and others were straining to be let free as if they had never been walked in their life. Apparently the only way my dog will listen is if I put a choke collar on him that is obviously painful to him and as soon as I take it off, he goes absolutely nuts. Many people claim their dog is better behaved than every, but they are quite wrong because the dogs simply fear having their choke collar being pulled. A reward and not abusive method would be much more effective. If you saw what goes on behind the scenes, you would be very disgusted. Now, three months later after attending weekly group classes (conducted in a field full of hundreds of spiky stickers that get stuck in my dog's paws and fur), he behaves crazier than ever. Their training methods have proved to be abusive and ineffective, and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND YOU SEND YOUR DOG THERE. PLEASE DON'T GO FOR YOUR DOG'S SAKE. I love MBF, My dog was uncontrolled and hyper knocking people over and couldn't be walked. She tore things up and had to be kenneled the entire day while we were away at work and school. Our awesome Trainer Jerry transformed her into a wonderful, loving gentle dog. Thank you Man's Best Freind. Pros: Great People, Great Prices Great Results Cons: none that i can see more
