I recently worked with Curt Stiger at Major Brands Floors in Seattle to have new tile, vinyl flooring and carpet installed in my home. Curt was great to deal with ~ he brought samples out to my home and helped me greatly with color selection. Jesse did a fabulous job installing new tile in the entry and in front of the fireplace, and installing new vinyl flooring in my kitchen and utility room. Raoul and his sons also did a fabulous job of installing new carpet in the living and dining rooms, the hallways and the linen closet. They all worked quickly, cleaned everything up when they were done, and it all looks more beautiful than I ever imagined! We had been doing some remodeling and painting in our house. We painted our bedroom, then realized we would like to get new carpeting in there before moving everything back in! We went down to Abbey Carpet of Seattle, where they showed us a bunch of examples and samples. We needed it before November 22. They were really accommodating and made sure we got the carpet that was in the warehouse. They scheduled the installation almost immediately, and the installer did it all in half a day. more

A few days ago the installer completed my new floor and it looks fabulous! A week ago when I contacted Major Brand Floors I didn't know what kind of flooring to get. I knew I wanted wood floors and at Major Brand Floors I met Chris. At the time I was in a full back brace, so walking around their showroom was difficult for me. Chris brought the flooring to me rather than having me go to where the flooring was displayed in the showroom. After looking at flooring I selected a high quality cherry flooring with great looks and durability. Chris told me about the types of underlayment to use underneath my flooring and I chose the type of underlayment I wanted. The entire Major Brand Floors team answered my questions and provided background information about the flooring. The store has low prices, which was a priority for me because I was on a tight budget. When it came down to me choosing where to buy my flooring, the quality of flooring, low prices, and direct responses that Major Brand floors provided separated them from other businesses. I chose to do business with Major Brand Floors. After I bought the flooring, throughout the installation process I continued to have questions about this and about that. I came back to the store several times to ask questions and the Major Brand Floors team never hesitated to provide me immediate answers. When I saw the installed floor for the first time, it was breathtaking. I nearly hugged my installer. The flooring looked gorgeous and I was so happy. The quality of the finished product was in the details. For example, my Cherry flooring needed to transition to carpet in one area of the house, and the flooring needed to transition to vinyl in another area of the house. The trim details were obtained at Major Brand Floors and the trim was colored to match the flooring exactly for a professional transition. Major Brands had all the flooring, transitions and trim details in stock. They had everything that my flooring project needed. My installer liked working with Major Brand Floors also. He phoned Major Brand Floors a couple of times during the installation and the team at Major Brand Floors answered all of his questions. I have nothing but good to say about Major Brand Floors. Now I see why Major Brand Floors was in business for more than 64 years: it's their service. I've got another floor I'm doing soon and I will be going back to Major Brand Floors. I've known those kids for so long. They've been good to me. Major Brand Floors & Abbey Carpet of Seattle is the only place that I can call and get both a good deal and a good product with. They have stuck with me over the years, so I keep going back to them. I have other options, but I choose to go with them. I have gotten just about all of my flooring there over the years. I have bought tiles, carpet, and hardwood floors. They're very dependable. They do what they tell you they're going to do. They're good guys, basically. I've been using Major Brand Floors & Abbey Carpet of Seattle for about ten years. They're willing to travel for me quite a distance from the Seattle area to do jobs for me. When I have had emergencies where I need materials, they'll actually go to the warehouse for me to pick it up so I can have it to complete my job. They're very helpful there. Their customer service is the best. There have been jobs where I've needed my laminate right now and their delivery comes once a week. Instead of making me wait three days, they will actually go pick it up for me and have it waiting for me at the store. Go down there and take a look around. Major Brand & Abbey Carpet of Seattle actually came out in April. We just took a while to get organized, and so we had the job done this past week. It was great. The first time they came out they took measurements and since we live in an older house they gave us some tips about what may be tricky, the pros and cons about different choices, and estimated things out both ways. Before doing the job, they came out again to make sure everything was right and we had up-to-date prices. We were able to start almost two days later. Mark was our installer and he was awesome. He was actually early, which was great. The whole process was exactly how they described it. The floor looks beautiful and it was done in only a day and a half. It ended up costing us less, too, because they used less material. Somebody in the neighborhood recommended them. They were great and I was really impressed. I didn't get a lot of quotes from other places, so I have no idea how their pricing is. We've owned the house for a long time, though, and I've come to learn that spending a little more, which I'm not even sure we did, is often worth it. They were professional, got the job done, and how much they told us it would cost is what it ended up being. It was just a great experience. more

I needed to have a quality wall to wall carpet installed almost site unseen seeing I was selling a house in Washington and yet living in California. I had excellent service getting samples, estimates etc all done in a very timely fashion. The installers were delightful and the foreman was a savior as no one had told him we had radiant heat and therefore coils under the padding which we thought we were replacing, had he not pulled up a tiny corner we would have had Old Faithful in that room and the staging of the house would have been delayed, something we could not afford...we had no time. Fantastic job, fast and tidy no dings and scuffs on the walls. This was my tenth house of remodeling or building and I have to say this service was the best carpet install of all of them. more

When doing floor work, our Board of Directors require multiple bids. We always end up using Major Brands. They have installed tile, linoleum, laminate flooring (in a ballroom). If there is ever an issue, however small, they resolve it quickly and to our satisfaction. more
