Made From Scratch

We used Made from Scratch for our Red, White & Boom Party, and were thoroughly satisfied and as thrilled with the food as our guests. Our experience with MFS and Selena Vasquez was excellent. Selena was very responsive to our needs, and ensured that everything was to our order, and delivered on time. Selena confirmed everything promptly in writing, with each change we made. The MFS staff who delivered and set up our food were professional and courteous, and made sure to answer any questions we might have. The food was beautifully displayed and delicious. We will absolutely use MFS and Selena again, and highly recommend them both. more

I used Made From Scratch for my wife's 40th birthday party. Kimberly Frank reached out to me after I made contact with them about using their service for our event. She did a did a great job in listening to our needs and creating the event. We were super pleased with everything. The staff that worked the event did a great job and were extremely professional. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again the next time I have a catered event. more

About a year ago, I had a wedding to plan at the Franklin Park Conservatory and I called all of the caterers on the list of accepted vendors. When I spoke to --- at Made From Scratch, I was initially quite interested, as she was very excited and willing to meet up in person instead of sending me details over email. She set up a time to meet up with me at a Borders. In the meantime, --- sent me an email to inquire as to an estimate of number of people and budget. Considering this was my first wedding, I replied with a number, not really knowing the details of how to budget. She immediately called and said it was FAR too low and I would need to re-adjust. I said okay, that wouldn't be a problem-- I just had no clue how much we would be spending yet, as I was unsure as to how many people would be coming. I told her we could go over details at the meeting. So the following Tuesday, at our planned time, I waited at Borders with my fiance... and was stood up. For a good hour, we waited, not really sure if something happened. I called and left a message at her office, concerned that something might have happened. Never heard back. Talk about class. Ended up working with MetroCuisine-- who was AWESOME and was so accommodating. We got a ton of compliments on our food (and the professional staff), so in hindsight, I'm glad that Made from Scratch ended up being Made from Crap. more

I had my wedding with Made From Scratch and years later, people still compliment me on it! They even helped me arrange to have fireworks! Red White and BOOM could use their help and maybe their show would be as good as ours was! I've been to other events catered by this company and though all the events were different in style, the quality of their food and service never change from exceptional. I was shocked to read other negative reviews because every time I see a Made From Scratch van in the driveway of a party I'm attending, I smile...cause I know it'll be good....make that great. more

A TRUE JOY TO WORK WITH!!! I was frustrated in contacting catering companies for my reception and was getting confusing information or none at all. Can't believe how many don't even answer the phone. I called Made From Scratch and spoke to a bridal consultant immediately and made an appointment for the next day! She was so helpful and seemed to understand me completely! She had great ideas, warm but professional, and worked to meet our budget. We both were excited about planning my wedding and she made me feel comfortable as if talking to a close friend. The day of the wedding I was nervous but Janet made me comfortable and the reception came off just as I had dreamed. The food and service were wonderful and we have received many compliments from our guests. They even prepared some boxes of food for us at the end to take back to the hotel. I can't say enough how wonderful the entire experience was and recommend Made From Scratch to you and all my friends. more

Was refered by a friend. The entire experience was great. The web site gave me some ideas but the event planner we worked with rocked. She steered us in the right direction and worked within our budget. Had some great tips and suggestions, made the whole process painless. The party was great from begining to end. They came in and set up, we were not even there for the set up! Food was great and the servers gracious. Many compliments. When it was all done, we couldn't believe we had thrown a party, everything was clean and put away. Highly recommend! Got to try it! more

Cold, tasteless food, overpriced, rude customer service. I would recommend any other catering over this company. more
