Maclin Plumbing

This company, which may be just one man and a truck, is the most unprofessional, rude and lazy I have encountered in my 18 years working in the field of construction. Given the number of one star reviews that I encountered after dealing with the owner, I was shocked to see he had an A rating on your site. The owner, James (who will not give you is last name??), came for a service call on my hot water heater. He missed the two hour window allotted, which happens. However, seemed not the least bit concerned or apologetic. He would not properly inspect the issue we were having. He left after three minutes and proved to be insulting and misogynistic in that short time. I happen to be remodeling a structure next to the one with the hot water issue. I had the plumber from that job site come over and take a look first since we had really stinky water. He tried to do a maintenance flush of the system to clean it out and discovered that there was thick sludge in the bottom of the tank so deep the clean out was clogged (a sure sign the corrosion was more than an anode rod). When Maclin Plumbing arrived, he said if the tank is not leaking, there is nothing wrong with it that could not be solved with maintenance He then asked me to show him the corroded anode rod (it's in the tank). He thought I was some ignorant woman who doesn't know about plumbing and was going to prove it to me. I called him after he left and he was even more insulting on the phone. That kind of arrogance and impoliteness deserves an F. more

These Guys are awesome! I had a pipe bust in my kitchen, that flooded 1/2 my house. I called these guys and they told me what was broke and said they could be out soon. I told them to wait, while I called some other plumbers. (All the other plumbers wanted $400+, just to look for the leak, not to mention most wanted to rip up my foundation). I called Maclin back, they knew exactly where the leak was and fixed it for way less than the other guys ""looking"" fee. That was awesome, but in the repairs they took into account that I have small boys running around. Matt took special care of cutting my sheet rock, so he could place the cut out sheet rock back in. It took over 6 months to get my house repairs done. If they would not have gone the extra mile for me, I would have had a huge hole in my living room wall. Thanks guys, life with 3 little boys and a large hole in my wall would have been dreadful. I called them back out when I had my shower redone to do the plumbing for me. While they were here, Jerry showed me how to disconnect my sink stopper, and didn't charge me a thing (this was a big deal for me, I should have bought stock in Drano). I spoke to Robin several times, she was so sweet and helpful. They gave me the name of a company that dried out my house before mold took over (I didn't even know you could/should do that). These guys are very honest and and have much knowledge. I can't build them a shrine (darn HOA), but I will call them for all my plumbing needs in the future.If you want the best, call these guys. more
