This is a really good Italian restaurant! 12/11/2007

Italian food is one of my favorite kinds of foods! Usually really good Italian comes with a high price tag though. This place is really good and not so expensive. I wouldn't say this place is cheap, but it's definitely not on the high end! My favorite dish is the Shrimp Portofino! I've tried a few other dishes that were also good, but the Shrimp Portofino is my favorite one! I was craving for this when I was pregnant and had it often...my friends said too often... :P Pros: good food, friendly service, and atmosphere Cons: there's always a long wait even with reservations more

So much more than macaroni 3/24/2005

They make their sausage fresh, their pasta, too. What more could you ask for? Although this is a national chain Italian restaurant, this place is excellent with food--not only in preparation but also in presentation. The Pasta Rustica is a family favorite, as well as any of the raviolis. Caesar salads abound with parmesan cheese, and the appetizers are great starters. What makes this restaurant fun is the entertainment, from opera singing hostesses to white table "cloths" that come with crayons for your drawing pleasure. Pros: entertainment Cons: limited parking, crowded, can be loud more

9.5 1/10/2003

The first time I went there, there was a lot of noise, but went and looked at what was the noise. It was the cooks cooking. It was amazing looking at that. there were people singing Oprah lovely. The italin food was GREAT!!! Best of all was the dessert. That was Delicous. Iwould conder this place for a family (or group) or kids. Everything was great besides that it needed more light. Pros: enjoyable, Kid friendy, Good Family Place Cons: Needs more Light more

Albuquerque is the best..... 6/27/2002

I have been to several Macaroni Grills over the last few years but I still like the first one I visited when I went to New Mexico. I like the crayons and paper tablecloth to draw on while you wait (I'm impatient) and the jug of wine that they set at your table and expect you to be on the honor system. The wine isn't that great but it's nice to be able to fill up your glass without waiting for your server to return. The food is good too, lots of choices and good portions. The only negative is the noise in this place. more

Great Food - Noisy 6/10/2002

Romano's is a top flight Italian restaurant chain. Good for a change of pace, reallly nice decor. I found Romano's to be really loud the few times I have visited. Romano's is a trendy handout in the area. Cons: Noise more

Good Mozzarella squares! 5/30/2002

I never thought an italian food chain that spans the continental US would be so good! The mozzarella squares are definitely a good highlight of this fine establishment. more

Good Pasta, High Prices 5/22/2002

I love the pasta dishes here, they're so good, but kinda pricey. This place is romantic, and it's really good for kids. They let you draw on the paper table cloths with crayons that they leave for you. The atmosphere is so beautiful, and they have an opera singer that sings softly in the background. Very nice. Pros: Atmosphere, Pasta Cons: Expensive more
