I?ve been seeing Ivo for close to a year now and every visit has exceeded my expectations. I have fine mousey brown hair that Ivo brings to life by adding great natural looking color. Furthermore, he never over processes my hair. My hair has never been healthier! On top of that he gives me a great cut allows me to keep my fine hair long and full of volume. Not only do I get a great haircut, but my time spent in the chair is very pleasant. Ivo has a great personality and the 2.5 hour it takes to do my hair goes by in a flash. \r more

I've been to Ivo at Mane Event approximately 4 times and each time I leave very pleased. I often forget I have an appointment after 6 weeks b/c my hair is still in great condition! Ivo does GREAT BLONDE. He's the 1st stylist to work w/ my natural hair color for low lights and not put in dark or red low lights b/c of over highlighting! Also, Ivo really takes his time. He's straightened and curled my hair 1 session as I was curious about various styles. \r \r I drive all the way down from San Francisco to see him. This was one of the best hair experiences I have ever had. My stylist, Ivo, was extremely friendly and treated me as though I were a long time friend the minute I came into the salon. I've never had my stylist be so attentive and the cut he gave me was fabulous. I didn't give him a lot of direction as to what I wanted, I didn't know exactly how to describe it, but he understood exactly what I meant and was able to make my normally fine hair bounce with life. \r \r If you are looking for a new salon do not hesitate to try this one. From looking around at all the other stations I could tell everyone was having a great time and it seems more like a fun cocktail party (minus the cockails) than a salon where people were cutting hair. i decided to get my hair cut here after reading rave reviews. unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. i was used to going to another salon where they used only scissors to follow the unique growth of your hair, and my hair always grew out great, weeks after the cut. when i told my stylist at Mane Event about this technique, they were surprised. i asked them to texturize my hair with only scissors, but they suggested using a razor blade instead. i figured ""hey they're the professional stylist, i guess i'll follow their recommendation"". what a hack job. they totally took all the volume out of my hair with completely random strokes of the razor blade. not only that, the excessive random strokes made my hair way too long in some places and way too short in others which made it hard to style. i couldnt recognize it at the time becuz they put product in my hair so i thought my cut was fine, but its clearly evident how badly they messed my hair now that my hair's grown out a bit more. it looks all spotty and frayed like it went through a lawn mower. now i have to wait a long time to get my hair's natural volume back. im sure this salon is okay in general, i just got setup with a bad stylist Pros: ambience, bumble and bumble products Cons: pick the right stylist more

Anyone who knows me knows that I treat my clients as if they were a close friend. My staff and clients all know at my salon, we are all friends and we all interact with eachother and our clients. As the owner, it is possible I will answer the phone or help someone with products. I cater to everyone. Based upon my records you were in my chair for a total of two and a half hours, not four. I realize I did place an order, while you were processing might I add, only due to the fact that my rep came by. I have taken your comments to heart and it has been a learning experience for me. I went to this salon because of the high ratings it received on City Search unfortuatnelty I did not have the same experience. I had to wait for a while to get my hairstylist to recognize that I was there. I was there for four hours and during that time she was very distracted with what others were doing, answering phones, helping with products, making appointments and I was definetly not the center of attention! I will say the rest of the stafff was friednly. Pros: parking was good more

I highly recommend Viola, Ernie, Laura and staff to everyone who walks in. I had my hair done for my wedding by them, and have never had it look so good. Great, friendly service and expertise! Pros: You will look fabulous!!! Cons: None! more

While looking for a new salon recently, I happened upon The Mane Event in Campbell. It turned out to be my lucky day. The atmosphere was light and pleasant. The staff personable and friendly. The service was excellent, all around. From the moment you walk in and meet the receptionist, you feel welcome. I've walked into to many salons but have yet to meet a receptionist with such a friendly smile and personality. She was quick to find me an stylist that was in between appts, offering me something to drink and conversation while I waited. I was pleased with the stylist as well. On my first visit, it was just a cut as I had not had an appt. However, I have since returned to the salon with an appt, for a cut and color and will continue to visit this salon. more

I have been to this Salon before, and was very pleased, but I always have kept my eyes and hair avil. for somthing new. They hired this new stylist that I have heard about from some friends. His Name is Tye. I was able to get in with him, even thoe he was running late for my appointment the expierence was the best I have ever had. He said that he used to work at Santana Row at some plae called belamine. Well there loss. I cant believe he would have left that place to come to W. Campbell. He did a wonderful new cut on me and color. He is ver maticulous so be prepared to sit for a while. He seemed to have made friends there pretty fast and the salon seems a bit more alive with him in there. The Salon is beautiful, the experience from beginning to end was great, I had a Chi hair straighting by Patti she took her time, and took very good care of me, and I was very Happy, and plan to return. Linda D. more

My first experience was great! Great salon, happy people. I only wish I had selected a different stylist to do my hair, as the first time was perfect. Then we had problems, and the individual took no responsibility, after cutting my long front bangs with a razor. I now have to wait for months as it keeps breaking, and I am very saddened.\r \r After returning various times to have a myriad of problems fixed, I wished i had gone to one of the other stylists as I watched them listen to their clients and give great results. I do not want to be rude and mention the persons name, but if you choose one of the stylists that 'work' there independently/as an employee, you can't go wrong. I went to see Viola, who also happens to be the owner, to change my hair from bright red to a medium brown. I knew before I entered the salon that red hair was hard to change, but the results were amazing. My hair is a beautiful brown with shine. Viola is fun and enegetic. The banter between the staff made my experience fun. For a first time visit to the Mane Event, I will definitely go back and recommend the salon to freinds. Thanks Viola. I had cut my hair to medium length and really missed my long hair. I went to Mane Event where Viola gave me beautiful extensions with no pain and really cared that I was happy with the result. If anyone is looking for extensions the technique used on my hair really lasts and I feel like I have full, luscious hair. All I have to do now is go in for upkeep every three months, I think that's how long. So anyone interested in long hair, I am satisfied with the result. more

When I walked in I was greeted by smiles and taken for my appointment right away. While getting my cut, Viola made me feel very comfortable and relaxed with good conversation, a magazine and a drink while my hair processed. The best cut and color I ever had.
