What a nightmare. Brought a car in with minor damage. It needed one part replaced and some minor work and a paint. They said they finished it early went to get the car. It looked awful. Other than the paint job looking awful (Rough and blotchy) there was paint splash all over the place. They had paint on the headlight, grill, air intakes, the wheel wells, assorted black rubber parts and the air dams under the car. I showed it to the manager and he got annoyed. But agreed to clean it up so instead of coming with another ride I drove myself and checked out it out myself. Again manager got annoyed. I am sorry parts you bring in as one color should remain that color. Parts that come in smooth should remain smooth. Paint should not be lumpy drippy or gritty. Manager agreed that he would clean up the paint spray and would fix the paint job in three weeks after it set better. I said that I would pick up the car on Friday if he would do and put in writing that the car paint would be fixed in three weeks. He agreed. I came today Friday to pick up the car. it was in the paint booth still taped up. They said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I said my ride could not wait and I could not risk being stranded in Hamden. During this time I put in numerous complaints with Maaco corporate, this has accomplished nothing. They promised me a call back with 48 hours by the franchise owner. Nothing happened. They keep taking down your info and say the franchise owner will resolve it. Oh they don't take credit cards because to many people refute the charges! Lesson learned never take your car to a place that won't take credit cards! Now they are threatening me with storage charges if I don't pick up the car right away! I think they should pay both my wife and I for hours wasted instead! Run very fast! more

this place is a total disaster , I took my car in to have my quarter panels and dents fixed and the car repainted, the manager patrick said it would be done in a week, after that one week the car was not done , the manager is very dishonest he told me that the car was being worked on then after three weeks I went to the shop in person to see how the job was coming along and the car wasn't even started yet, so I called the Maaco headquarters and made a complaint against them, then they started to work on it, but when I got it back like after a month they did a terrible job all my dents were still visible, the body work they did seem rushed and sloppy there was still rust on the qaurter panels and I had to bring the car back so that they could fix it , and took another couple of days, this is the worst body shop I been to and I warn anyone thinking of coming to this place, go somewhere else, because this place is very dishonest and careless. more

Car went in to be painted. Was there for 3 weeks and it was painted the wrong color! Took it back to be repainted and it took 5 weeks to paint!!! Called everyday and was told it would be ready ""tomorrow"". Did not remove overspray on hood as above reviewer said, but I will not bring it back there to be fixed. Taped the back door handle of the jeep and when they pulled the paint off, alot of handle paint came off with it and they left it like that... They kept saying the bumpers would be painted for all our trouble and they didn't paint the bumpers! We just picked it up and left. I couldn't have it left there any longer! Don't waste your time or money!!! more

Maaco in Hamden, CT ruined my new car, they were supposed to paint the rear of my car, which they did, but they also spilled paint on the driver's side seat, mirrors, windows, brake lights, inside door panel, and much more. I added a picture of the green pain on the driver's side seat. When they tried to fix it, they buffed the area and ruined the paint that was there. This place is a nightmare!!! Go somewhere else. more

I paid for there top painting service. The Employees are polite and helpful even met the owner of the shop. I went to check out the car, being half way finish, still looked like I just bought it off the New Car lot. No defects in the job, very clean and extremely detailed. Showed me around the shop to show me the process of how they do there work, and showed cars to me that were finished with the different packages. No sales pressure at all. If your going to go for the 200 paint job dont post on here that it was crappy, you get what you pay for.?
