This is an older apartment complex but very well maintained. Management is very responsive to tenants. I highly recommend Berkshires on Lynn Lake. more

I love it here! The staff is great, we have get togethers in the clubhouse every month that are fun. They are very attentive to my needs, and even walked my dog and checked my apartment when I was on vacation. I moved down sight unseen from NY. So glad I did! Thanks Crystal, Syreeta and Fred! more

I am a current resident of Berkshires on Lynn Lake! It does'nt matter where you live, there will always be an issue or two that you may have to deal with but if its fixable, let it get fixed and keep it moving. I joined this community in May of 2009 and since then I have met some incredible people! I love and enjoy living in my apartment. I rarely bother the staff here, but when I do come to visit (with my rent check), I am always pleasantly greeted by great professional women. I enjoy the fact that I don't worry about who is in my neighborhood. I say this because the neighbors that I've met are always friendly toward me and there is just a great sense of community here. The apartments are older but are well maintained by a friendly maintenance staff. The most important aspects of apartment living for me are convienience, safety, and great customer service. I have found all of these qualities in my apartment and any issues that I have had, I've addressed them and they were taken care more

There is no worse place to live in Raleigh! Takes months for simple work orders to be completed. In the summer the air conditioners break on a weekly basis and in the winter the same issue with the heat! The maintenance person Fred worries more about peoples personal business than his own job and completeing work orders in a timely fashion! I am in no way prejudice but it appears that if you are a white person all the black people (oh did I mention there are no white people who work here) who work for this dump want to run every other nationality out of there (btw I am not white). Do not move here the staff here are the absolute worse human beings ever born and will make you feel like any issues you have with your place are your fault. Yeah like anyone loves to sweat or freeze in their home. more

All of these reviews but one were written prior to new management in September 2008. I only had one resident complain of animals? in the walls. The family currently living there the last several months has not experienced this. Funny how that happens! Hope you include us in your apartment search! more

This was the worse experience I have ever had with an apartment complex. Roachs in the apartment, squirrels and Raccoons in the walls all during the day and night. You can complain, but you will continue to have the problems, until the day you move out. I do not advise anyone in their right mind to live here. more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bugs, bad management, poor lighting. Not good maintenance. The way they handle problems is by suggesting you move out. more

you can try your luck. They recently changed their names to Berkshire of Lake Lynn. No difference. Be aware of the mold and mildew that lingered for months. I have asthma and nothing was done. I had to move out of my first apt their because it flooded. Both apts I stayed in were infested with lots of bugs and roaches and the new management had nasty attitudes about helping me. They suggested I move out. I thought that was very unprofessional not to mention they are still trying to fix up on the outside but the inside remains the same. A mananger from South Carolina came up and turned my lock on the door upon me moving trying then to do something about the living conditons. She was very nasty too. I would not recommend this place. The lighting is bad and their is no security around. PROS: none CONS: bad staff, bugs, mildew, mold more
