Heaven On Earth 3/13/2011

Lynbrook Massage my Heaven on Earth. Yes, that is what it is to me. I have been here often for the past few years and due to a fused neck I suffer from very bad neck, shoulder and back pain but when I leave, I am spared the agony. My therapist's hands are like angel's hands on my back. I thank God I found this place. The environment is a relaxing and very clean atmosphere. When you arrive, you are greeted by Kevin, the owner, a very charming young man. Then it's off to a very quaint room with soft music, the wonderful scent of relaxing candles or oils and the hands of an angel. For anyone in need of a time to themselves, Lynbrook is the BEST! more

Professional and Pleasant 3/13/2011

Lynbrook Massage is close to my home so it is very convenient for me to go get a quick or long massage. I've been here several times and it is very nice. The staff is friendly. It's not crowded and pushy, which makes it very relaxing for me. Out of the three times I've been here, two of the massages were the best I could ever imagine having. The therapists were very attentive towards my specific needs. I plan to return once every few months. They even have facials, hot stones, teeth whitening, and other great services that I look forward to trying in the near future. The prices are reasonable and their therapists know what they're doing. more

I went in yesterday and had the best massage and facial for men EVER. The entire experience was relaxing and awesome! The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely good!! I highly recommend Lynbrook Massage Therapy! I rarely take the time to write a review for services, but this experience was so exceptional I had to! more

An Honest Review of Lynbrook Massage Therapy 3/12/2011

I am a long term client of Lynbrook Massage Therapy. I currently work about 80 hours per week: 40 as a physical therapist and 40 as a college professor. I can keep up my insane work schedule only with the help of my weekly one hour massage at Lynbrook Massage Therapy. My therapist, "Z", effectively treats all of the pains and muscular stresses caused by my jobs. Thank God for Lynbrook Massage Therapy and its skilled professional staff. more

THE WORST EVER! run ???? HUH?? 3/12/2011

Im sorry that your experience with Lynbrook Massage wasn't as pleasant as you should had wanted it,but to say it was "filthy", you went far, to say that we dont know what we are doing, I laugh. I was there and I treated your boyfriend. And like the other person wrote in his "facts" if she was hurting you why didn't you say something? I didnt hear you say a word, throughout the whole session. But lets begin how you both arrived. You arrived not too happy to begin with, and YES your therapist heard every word you said and READ what your complaints were, and follow them, I was in the room, and she did an awesome job! As for your boyfriend, I asked was there anything i should be aware of and he said yes. Thats when he mentioned his knee and elbow to be worked, but it wasn't his main focus. Is an hr massage and it wasn't a medical massage,it was a "RELAXATION MASSAGE" called "SWEDISH". When you left you left the place as if have seen the devil, and your boyfriend was still paying and smiling, and as a matter of fact he said to the person in front, he was happy and I did an excellent job! YOU WELCOME! We asked him, were you ok, and he said "shes hard to please", so i guess it is true. The day of your appointment I do recall coming in early to set up your room, for the couples massage. "Filthy" i dont think so. If you know me and our staff, you would know that we always make sure that the treatment areas are clean for our clients, and that's exactly what i did that morning. I make sure that every person that comes through my doors receives an excellent massage in a clean room, with fresh linens, aromatherapy candles or essential oils burning and soft music playing so that they feel comfortable & relaxed. And that day was no different. You said that the front was "unorganized front." Excuse us for having papers on a desk, but I thought that's what desks are for.. I'm sorry did i miss something? When you walk into a reception area what do you see? a front desk? what does it have? a phone, computer, pens, aaahhh...papers!!! DUH!! Perhaps the washer was running. Our boss was sick that weekend and all of us therapist were helping run the place so that when he came back he wouldn't have that much to do. So pardon us for trying to do laundry so that you can be on clean sheets. We run a well respected place. All of our therapists are licensed and we know what we are doing. We have clients that keep coming back every week. I am so sorry that you are hard to please. As for me, IM HONORED TO BE PART OF THE TEAM OF LYNBROOK MASSAGE. more

The Facts 3/9/2011

Our location is far from filthy. Cleanups are done on a daily basis. We have no "Posters" anywhere to be considered tacky unless you count our front window but I justify that with being off Merrick Road on a side street as a business we need to attract attention. If you read the web page you would have seen posted "site under construction". If the therapist was inflicting pain why did you not tell the therapist. We are not mind readers, we work with all our clients to give them the best treatment possible which means 2 way communications. Typically we do not utilize oil, we use massage cream which has a totally different consistency. As far as walking into a "Massage Hell" this is a totally unfounded statement and makes no sense. All our therapists are NYS licensed which is 1000 hours classroom training, a passing grade from the institution and a NYS administered exam. These therapists know what they are doing! How you consider the tables dirty? This truly is the biggest falsehood. We wash our linens after EVERY SESSION. We use Tide, along with OxyClean and a name brad liquid fabric softener. A Horrid, $10 Lamp.... would you rather be beamed by annoying fluorescents or our lights which are kept on dimmers to cast the room in a calming twilight feel. Also, some of our laps cost in excess of of $60 being salt lamps to purify the air. All our tables have electric warmers as well as each room having portable heaters and or fans. The only time a therapist might sit during a massage is while working on head or feet, the rest is in a standing position and all our stools are professional purchased from the massage warehouse. The bathroom is clean, however we have laundry bins for used laundry which does pile up as we do get busy and to keep up with laundry can be a challenge with 5 treatments at a time with one washer & dryer in the bathroom, so other than an uncluttered look when this pile gets high, the toilet and sink are exceptionally clean. I can only apologize if the washer and dryer in the bathroom is a real downer for you. We are Core Therapeutic Massage with several spa like services however we are not and never claimed to be a spa and as of 2010 (9 years in business) we have been recognized by the Better Business Bureau. Next time you have an issue with a business I suggest you take it up with the Manager or owner before you print a review with little warrant, just perhaps someone might see what they can do to make you happy. more

THE WORST EVER! run 2/22/2011

I've had one of the worst experiences here at this "massage place" Not only is the facility filthy, it offers no relaxation to the client due to the unorganized front reception with piles of paperwork and tacky posters, to the dusty, dingy rooms with old stained ceiling and bedsheets. I should've known better when their website didn't show nay of the pics of the place, but walking into this place was like walking into massage hell. It was a couples massage and we both walked out so unhappy and i had scratches from the "masseuses" uncut fingernails. she did not know what she was doing, i felt like i got oil applied on my body along with random out of nowhere hard strokes accompanied with painful scratches. not only did they not pay attention to our filled out applications indicating our problem areas, but they ignored our requests that we gave on the phone. i wanted a deep tissue which was reduced to a petty unskilled oil application service, and while my boyfriend wanted his elbow and knee concentrated on, he got pulled and pushed on that dirty table. A horrid $10 lamp lit the room with noisy chairs that the masseurs sat on. Not to mention the room was freezing cold with cheap unwarmed sheets that provided no comfort at all! don't even let me start with the bathroom, which was crowded with noisy washing machine with dirty sheets everywhere. this place was just such a disaster, please do not go there! horrible experience, i was aggravated and more tired leaving then when i came in! more
