It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!

Absolutely LOVE IT!!! 9/23/2010

This is my second stay at the Luxor in the past 2 years and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! My mom and I stayed in a basic room in the towers and that was perfect, as we were in the casino playing most of the time, anyways, did you go to Vegas to stay in your room all day and night, I dont think so. Because of our previous play time and amounts, we were greeted at the airport by a limo and was able to check in VIP style. We are in NO WAY VIP'S but they treated us as if we were. The staff was awesome and our host Dorie was amazing... We played slots for 3 straight days, and the machines were loose and paying well/ I hit the price is right for 1,000.00 and many others, to where I came home with just as much as I left with. It was awesome, and thanks to everyone for a great time. I cant wait to come back next September!!! more

rooms very spacious 9/23/2010

Stayed in the luxor, excellent hotel cannot fault it at all very close to the strip no need for taxis all within walking distance..hotel rooms very spacious and the food was great, would recommend this hotel cant wait to go again. more

Would recommend 9/22/2010

spent 4 nights - good value for money, 15 & 17 yr olds had own room next to ours - good location & facilities, good fast food cafes for the kids in hotel, lifts take getting used to as it goes up on an angel. Would recommend the Chris Angel show in hotel and helicoptor trip to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc - Fantastic - next time though, would go at Sunset. They have the cheapest shopping outlets in LV compared to anywhere in the US. more

Planning on our 2011 trip back there now :-) 9/22/2010

Had a great time with the wife on our 8 day stay in May 2010 in room 22215 Tower Luxury Suite. From reservations to housekeeping...we found the staff to be extremely friendly and appreciative of our stay. The comps were great from our slot gambling also. more

It is a Great Hotel 9/21/2010

I think it were 4 amazing days, it is a great hotel very comfortable, with a great pool, great rooms, beautiful game rooms and you will have fun 24 hours in a day, when you are at home, you will need to get sleep for 3 days because you will be very tired after Vegas! you have to go!!! more

We will be back! 9/20/2010

The kids thought this place was great, and we enjoyed it too. It is a ways from a lot of cool things on the strip, but a day of walking will let you see everything. We stayed in the tower, which was nice, but I guess the kids wanted to be in the pyramid part, oh well. The room was big and the bathroom very nice. The pool was crowded with 20-somethings partying, but we had fun. I won $ on the slots, YEAH! The theme is awesome and the decor around the hotel and casino is great! more

GREAT Hotel! 9/20/2010

Great hotel. It might be one of the older ones but its still phenomenally large, with good sized rooms, some really cool night clubs, and well located at one end of the strip, It made it easy to take in the rest of the hotels on the strip easy as we could walk down to each one... Its also connected internally to the hotels around, and to the Mandalay Bay as well. Whilst the casino is not particularly large or touristy, I was impressed with the overall layout and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. more

Nice little shop by the pool 4/28/2010

Ok the pool store is kinda small but has all the poolside necessities you can think of! The swimsuits are a little pricey but if you're in a bind and need something, they've got it! And of course they have poolside souvenirs! more

Mindfreak 9/5/2009

Criss angel did this trick that literally blew me away when i was a little kid, the one where criss pulled some girl named alaina out of the crowd, covered her up with a sheet, and made her reappear in a box. plus criss levatated me at circus circus. you really have to see it to beleive it. what you see is what you get, Pros: Carrot top, Sulley erna, criss angel, lance burton, beleive. Cons: what are drawbacks, there are no such things at the luxor more

Shop at the Tropicana Hotel for Egyptian merchandise 4/16/2009

The Luxor closed all of the wonderful stores that offered authentic Egyptian trinkets and papyrus paper. The hotel looks "retro" now with all Egyptian things being replaced by racy photos of women, timeshare vultures, a pearl in the shell store, a young trendy women?s clothes store, and a food court that has only a few vendors. If you want authentic Egyptian merchandise, go to the Tropicana Hotel?s shopping kiosks. There are two stands with lots of things to look at. What is the Luxor good for?the ?Body? and ?Titanic? exhibits. Want Krispy Kreme?s? That place is gone too. This hotel was revamped AGAIN to bring in the twenty-something crowd, hopefully, they have a lot of money to spend! Stick to the Venetian or Caesar?s Palace for true luxury as the Luxor will disappoint. If you have kids, find another venue unless you plan on hiding their eyes on the way to the Titanic and Body exhibits. Pros: Body and Titanic Exhibits - that's it! Cons: No Eyptian stores, not kid friendly, very disapointed! more

Used To Be Much Better 3/5/2009

I've stayed at Luxor four times but will not be returning. The hotel is being repositioned for a younger audience and much of the campy Egyptian theme has been removed. They also closed Isis and Sacred Sea Room, which were their best restaurants. The hotel is showing some signs of wear, and the guest rooms could use updating. On the plus side, the staff is very nice and the pool area is inviting. more

Very Disappointing 3/5/2009

I've stayed at Luxor 4 times but not since they closed their best restaurants and repositioned the hotel to appeal to a younger audience. There are better choices among mid-priced Strip hotels more

Check out the Cat House! 2/9/2009

Our last visit was in Jan 09. My wife and I go to Las Vegas at least once a year. We usually stay at the Luxor for overall value. The Casino is layed out nicely, with plenty of action, what ever kind you are looking for. We ate dinner at The Cat House our first night there. It was very enjoyable and delicious. The rest of the meals were at the buffet and at the coffe shop. My wife was gambling quite a bit and was winning so our meals and last night was comped. I was gambling also but not winning, so I stoped..I like the location of this property. Mandalay Bay is next door which we like also, and Excalibur. If you are interested in the action around Ceasars then Luxor is a bit of a trip. I would recomend a property in the middle of the strip then. MGM Grand, New York New York, Tropican, and Monte Carlo are all very easy to walk to. We are already planning our next trip thanks to the comp we recieved for 2 night stay. Pros: Location, Activites Cons: Rooms need updating more

Best Hotel in Las vegas 12/9/2008

I have tried every hotel in las vegas. This hotel is excellent. It has every thing you need. Including a great steakhouse, spa and clubs. I highly recommend it ! Pros: Everything is great Cons: Bath soap could be better more

Mix of comfort and value 9/11/2008

We've stayed at the Luxor about 15 times over the last eight years. Pros: Good Value Vegas Strip Hotel Cons: Mediocre service at times more

Worse Valet Experience 7/25/2008

Please, please, please be careful when leaving your vehicle with Luxor Valet. I dropped my vehicle off with the Valet guy. He asked me if I'm going to be out quick and if I want him to park my vehicle nearby. I said yes, thinking what a great idea and that was very nice of him. When I got my vehicle back a half hour later, there was a lot of damage to the passenger side quarter panel. I ask the Valet guy what happen to my car and he said he doesn't know but he will have the security guard do a report and they would be able to figure out what happen with video cameras. The security guard took some pictures of the car and had me fill out a report. He said that they would have to investigate this claim and pull all the videos. He then gave me a phone number to call their Risk Management 36 hours later. Now come to the good part, when I talk to Risk Management adjuster from Luxor, she asks me to go and get an estimate and fax it to her. After looking at the estimate which cost $1900, she told me that she has denied the claim saying that my car was park in an open area and both Valet people denied any accident when they drove the car. I ask her do you think those valet guys would tell you that they got in an accident. She didn't reply. I then ask her what about cameras; she said there no camera where my car was park. I also ask her what about the procedure that Valet personnel need to mark down if the car is damage when customer drops off their car. She said that would be a place that they would miss. I then I ask her if she has look at the pictures and see how big the damage was? How could they have missed that type of damage? She would not reply. I ask if I could speak to someone higher than her since we are getting nowhere. She said she is the supervisor in charge and her decision is final. This is the worse Valet experience I ever had. Luxor has shady workers with bad customer service. Avoid them at all cost. Pros: They just remodel the place Cons: Poor customer service more

Don't stay here 6/23/2008

Five of us went to Vegas for a friend's bday. From day 1 things went wrong- they didn't have our rooms ready (eventhough it was past check in time) and then they sent us to smoking rooms, the front desk staff was beyond rude and never apologized or even acknowedged their screw up, they lost our luggage when our room was finally ready, the food was barely ok, and the wait staff at the bars were extremely slow. Spend a few extra dollars and stay some place where you aren't treated like trash from the moment you walk in the door. We had a blast when we weren't at our hotel...and so we spent our money elsewhere. And from the looks of others staying we weren't alone. Pros: cabanas Cons: atmosphere, food, decor, staff, overall service more

Still gorgeous outside, at least until MGM Grand changes that too 6/18/2008

We have stayed at the Luxor once a year nearly since it opened, and it has fallen far from the glorious adult theme park resort hotel that Veldon Simpson first designed. Especially since the MGM Grand corporation has bought the property, they've been systematically ripping out most of the Egyptian-themed decor. The carpets and mattresses in the pyramid have needed replacing for years, and yet the corporation is too busy putting in new ultrabars and restaurants masquerading as whorehouses, instead. Everything seems to be desperately tailored to try and attract the young male demographic, but it's all turning into a giant generic Vegas barn. Thank heavens for the attentive Casino Slot Hosts, who are virtually the only thing left worth coming back for. Pros: Great Slot Hosts and Casino Managers and Staff Cons: Parent Corp seems to be trying to destroy it as if it were an embarassment. more

Ok just to stay at 5/1/2008

As a hotel just to stay at its not bad. It's towards the beginning of the strip, so cab rides or a brisk walk is required to get to the "heart" of things. more

Modern, sleek and friendly: Best Hotel on Strip! 11/25/2007

I booked a room at the Luxor this weekend after reading the mostly positive reviews here, and am very happy I did. Most of the hotels on the strip are overrun with children and babies and extremely overwhelming, not the Luxor. It's sleek, relaxing, modern, and the Egyptian theme is not as overwhelming as you might think. Pros: Not too many kids, sleek decor Cons: Location on the end of strip more
