My car was rearended. It just so happened Commerce was the insured company. ( worse company to deal with in my opinion) Well they came to my home unannounced, (although I was told n waiting 4 a phone call from them to look at my car) I received a call stating my car was looked at and was all set. I got the estimate. It was so incomplete and so one sided as to favor commerce not having to pay much at all. I am no professional, but went over the appraisal n noticed numerous items omitted from the estimate. I got a 2nd opinion and was told anything that is visible, is to be written in the estimate. I called luther n luther and was told "" im glad ur brilliant enough to see the damage I missed"" I then said it's not about being brilliant it's doing ur job! I'm no appraiser and I saw it. By law u are suppose to put everything u visually see. He then said to get a supplement. The fact is if he did his job the first time this all would have been avoided.I may not have needed a supp. Folks there is a reason this place constanly gets bad reviews. This is a honest and truthful review. Hopefully they stop trying to dupe people. This was just a big headache dealing with these people. Got into a small fender bender, didnt have automobile for almost a month.....beware. Company does not respond to email or phone calls. COMPLETE waste of time more

This guy, Linn Swenson, Luther & Luther's man in Cambridge as it were, is so clearly aligned with the insurer (in my case, Commerce) that he couldn't even be bothered to put out his cigarette while circling my car telling me ""Oh yeah, you're all set, you're all set"" before sending out a laughably low-ball appraisal (the result of a depreciation number he picked out of thin air). When I pursued a supplemental claim, he swayed by the minute between ""what planet are you from?"" and being my best friend. Sort of like a one-man good cop-bad cop. Bizarre, and, in the end, a pain-in-the-ass again. Luther and Luther is sketchy. If you use them, make sure you get another appraisal elsewhere. more

I would not recommend this appraiser to anyone. Don't know how this person got its license from the state. This appraiser must have painted houses for a living before getting his license. Brought my car there to be estimated and the appraiser took less than 3 minutes to evaulate my car. I took my car to three body shops and they took more time and pointed out what needed to fix my car properly. I think Luther Luther wanted me to use a paint brush from Home Depot. Don't waste your time going there..... Cons: Lack of knowledge in repairs cars..... more
