Lulu In The Grove

This post is tardy, but our server, Brinkley, was awesome and catered to our every need. This was especially good as we had finished a race and were VERY thirsty and hungry! The Blood Orange Mojitos may not stop dehydration, but they are yummy and were a great complement to the various dishes that our party ordered. Love you Lulu! more

Our first night at Mayfair and in the Grove we stumbled upon Lulu. Our waitress, Ruthy, was absolutely adorable and very attentive. We ordered a pitcher of mojitos (BEWARE: it's $40) and the goat cheese croquettes. The mojitos are to die for but the croquettes were nothing spectacular. I ordered the green tomato BLT (it was a little bland) and my bf got the lulu burger which he found amazing. You have to order their fries! They are delish! more

I love this restaurant. The pollo vaca frita is the best. Now, I only like the Coral Gables restaurant. I went to the kendall restaurant and did not like the food as much. The steak palomilla was completely unseasoned. more

The family and I had a brunch at Lulu last weekend and were impressed by the service provided by Jon Cruz. He was knowledgeable and very entertaining. The food is also in a category all by itself. Way to go LULU. more

I came here Saturday to have a bite and watch the heat game. My boyfriend and I sat down in front of previous customers food that was left dirty. Then the bartender did not acknowledge us, no one greeted us, after about 6 minutes the bartender came by and still didn't look in our direction or say hello. I thought that was so ruse and have never experiences that before. Also, no one aytempted to clear the dirty glasses anf plates in front of us. Then someone could not even put on the heat game and seemed extremely flustered. After sitting down starving for 10 minutes my boyfriend and I went to calamari down the block where we received much better service, where we were actually acknowledged. more

Awesome ! I based my visit on the other reviewers feedback . Try the jambalaya Bowtie pasta , mmmmm ! Delicious ........I sat at the bar and the waitress was very attentive and helpful for menu items. Will dine again when I am in the grove . more

Great place to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful Miami weather. Make sure to try the roasted dates and the truffle fries. Good prompt service and very attentive staff. more

I was visiting my mom for our birthday. She turned 60, me...the big 4-0. The Grove is one of my favorite spots to hang out in when I fly in from my home state of Ohio. I remembered when the Lulu's space was being designed so I was excited to have dinner there. They have adorable rustic looking dinnerware and I wanted to steal the water bottle ..reminded me of the vintage milk bottles they used to deliver to homes...but Im not that old. \r \r Our service was beyond phenomenal. I wish I could remember my server's name. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes..and the ranch sauce had a nice suprising kick to it! :) My mom ordered the Mediterranean Salad and shared with me..it was huge. I could drink that dressing by itself. (LOL) I ordered the Jambalaya Bow Tie Pasta.....soooo damn good! I only ate half and killed the rest the next day. We finished with creme brulee (BIG portions again) and coffee drinks. Whew! \r \r The decor is ultra cute, staff awesome and attentive and the drinks are hella strong. My only flub was that I asked to have my cocktail made over a couple of times because it was too strong but who complains about a weak drink? Ha! It was some kind of sugary-South American Rum elixir...it was good to me on the 3rd try. AND being a Buckeye...they had the flat screen on at the bar showing an Ohio State bball game. Are you kidding me? Did they know I was coming or something? :) We had a great birthday and I will always come by and see Lulu's. I wish they would open one here in Columbus. I want a T-shirt too! :) \r \r Only complaint is a couple of guest were allowed to eat on the patio/walkway with their dogs hanging out too....I love dogs..but >_<. more

The restaurant is located in beautiful Coconut Grove. The waiters are well trained, knowledgeable, and entertaining. I started with the goat cheese croquettes tapas and lamb ribs (both of them to die for), and washed them down with a cold white Sangria. Great experience, awesome food! The food is excellent. We had a bottle of Malbec for $25 (amazing bargain), octopus, lamb ribs and dates. All excellent. One of my new favorite places. If you haven't gone yet, GO. more

The food was great as to the atmosphere. But I service was aweful I don't blame the waiter he was delightful I blame the kitchen. Not once but twice we were waiting a dish. Besides that the noise from the bar across the street and the hygein of the people eat there was disgusting. more

Fresh. Delicious. The bacon wrapped dates were soooooo stupid good. Could eat them all day!!! more

Went for lunch, after going for a drive to coconut beach. Very nice location on the corner, and the food we got for lunch was good. Got the lulu angus and chicken sandwiches. Both were delicious meals compared to the standard we have received in miami so far. \r \r Would come back for lunch. more

Came for lunch with my parents while they were in town and we had a great time. We split the chicken wings and the lamb ribs and I think we all enjoyed them. I really liked my mac and cheese because it was so rich and my mom's salmon was good too. Not over done or dry which I think makes a piece of salmon really tasty. more

So we are loving hanging out at Lulu's. Love the outdoor seating in the evening with some apps and drinks. Nice, friendly staff and great drinks! \r Looking forward to going back soon. more

We took our server John's suggestion to get an extra side of the bacon ranch dressing that comes with the Fried Green Tomato BLT sandwich. Ended up thanking him profusely for the suggestion as we dunked everything we could in the bacon ranch. The salads are plentiful for a meal. Definitely want to hit the place again for 1/2 price sangria! more

I have behind the scenes knowledge that no employee washes their hands after clearing dirty dishes because get this... THERE IS NO SINK TO WASH THEIR HANDS! Ok Seriously that is just grosss. Even better their so called bar snacks are even worse b/c the little box it comes in never gets cleaned either. Just goes right back to the bar to get filled up again after the previous table was sticking thier hands in it. Ok now here is the next thing. Their bottle of water they bring to the table never gets cleaned either. Just gets filled up right after the table is done with it and goes back in the fridge. This place is disgusting and I would suggest nobody eat there! more

Ive been to Lulu's a couple of times and both we have sat outside and just enjoyed the atmosphere. Drinks are yummy, croquettes were really good, just small and pricey. Love it tho! more
