Lucy's Grill & Bar

I'm not sure when the other reviewers visited Lucy's, but my 2 visits have been very good. In fact, I'm hoping to go again this weekend. The first night was a Friday, and my party was seated right away without reservations. I had the herb-crusted fresh fish (demi-size) and the Arugula salad (demi-sized) LOVE the fact that you can order smaller-sized portions. This should tell you how big the normal portions are!. The next time, I went on a Monday and enjoyed the 20% off food special. Recommendation: Order an appetizer as your meal. They're huge! We had great service both times. Having lived on Oahu I understand how difficult it can be to locate a high quality restaurant outside of Waikiki. Lucy?s Bar and Grill in the small town of Kailua is a great find. The restaurant?s atmosphere, service, and food are all incomparable. Dine inside or out, the front patio is enclosed with greenery and well-lit tiki?s. Inside is a sense of space among the various fresh water fish tanks. The Calamari Steak ? not rings, but ?steak? - is delicious, something I tend to find only in Hawaii. I ordered the fresh fish of the day, Mahi Mahi, prepared grilled and outstanding. Service is very attentive, timely, and accurate. Be sure to enjoy a Pineapple Martini, it goes down extremely well! I highly recommend Lucy?s Bar and Grill for a high quality meal in a casual atmosphere. There is nothing like it in Kailua - make sure to secure a reservation ahead of time.
