Having lived on Oahu I understand how difficult it can be to locate a high quality restaurant outside of Waikiki. Lucy?s Bar and Grill in the small town of Kailua is a great find. The restaurant?s atmosphere, service, and food are all incomparable. Dine inside or out, the front patio is enclosed with greenery and well-lit tiki?s. Inside is a sense of space among the various fresh water fish tanks. The Calamari Steak ? not rings, but ?steak? - is delicious, something I tend to find only in Hawaii. I ordered the fresh fish of the day, Mahi Mahi, prepared grilled and outstanding. Service is very attentive, timely, and accurate. Be sure to enjoy a Pineapple Martini, it goes down extremely well! I highly recommend Lucy?s Bar and Grill for a high quality meal in a casual atmosphere. There is nothing like it in Kailua - make sure to secure a reservation ahead of time.
Pros: Delicious Food, Excellent Service
Cons: The locals know they are great - need a reservation.
