pro's and con's 12/25/2012

I absolutely love lowerys candies...well at least most of it... but I have to agree with a few people and say that a few people...well one in particular I remember was just rude beyond measure, she smears at you and as soon as you walk in she acts as if I'm a burdon and she does it to other people too. Nancy is the meanest woman like ever...I love the candy but Nancy is usually at the desk and she's just rude... but everyone else there is really nice usually as far as I've seen. Someone needs to fire Nancy...she's hurting lowerys business... more

Great Job 1/29/2010

This candy is awesome. Move to Tennessee in 84. Have ordered quite a few times. Never a problem with shipping. The peanut cremes are the best. My kids grew up in Muncie and they still love the taste. Great Job!! more

Lowery's Candies is terrible for customer service!!! 1/4/2010

I have ordered Lowery's Candies many times for many years . . . but after this year, never again. We have moved out of Indiana and ordered early for delivery the second week of December. On the 17th, I called and they indicated their records showed the candy was delivered on December 10th . . . long story short, it's now January 4th, still no candy and no resolution from Lowery's. BTW, ordered candy from Vosges, Chicago, and it appears the local UPS person may be to blame. However, Vosges fixed the problem and promised no matter what the candy would arrive within a day and it did. Lowery's claims "old fashioned quality" - but there is certainly no old fashioned customer service. more

Lowery's 7/19/2009

i make a long drive from ft. wayne to Lowery's. they are the best. the employees are lovely people. I have never left unhappy except for the time i left a small bag sitting on the counter. I'd gotten my boxes but walked away from my bag. Dark Secret is "a secret" but very good. I LOVE the chip bits.\r worth the drive. more

Lowery's Sweetness Stops with the Candy 10/29/2008

Lowery's has a good product but I always regret going there. I've gone quite a few times and never left without feeling I was an intrusion. The staff generally looks sickened to see you arrive and seems to go out of there way to confirm your suspicion. I'm always amazed when a business can thrive without even the pretense of appreciation. Oh well, Good's Candy in Anderson has served as an excellent replacement. more

Mmmmm Good... 11/29/2005

Lowreys Candies is a small local candy shop in Muncie, Indiana. They make an assortment of hand made chocolates and candies available by the pound. If you stop by I would highly recommend picking up some of the Dark Secrets, a dark chocolate candy with a vanilla cream center. In addition to the typical chocolates, they also make holiday candies such as the giant chocolate egg filled with candy during the Easter season. If you are looking for a special treat for a loved one, or just need to satisfy a sweet tooth on something better than the average boxed store candy, they are worth a visit. more

They ship all over the world 11/20/2005

This is one experience you do not want to miss. This is just plain good. This is a local company, stafffed with local people, who have been doing this for literally decades. They KNOW what they are doing, and oh my can you tell. They are only open for a short while, since chocolates do not travel well in the heat, so you gotta get it when they're open! Get a box for your mother for Thanksgiving. Heck get her a box for Christmas too, she'll think you are her favorite child!! PROS: WONDERFUL candy! CONS: short season more
