Very Painful Experience 1/30/2012

Loving Hands Animal Clinic, is the shortest route to make your pet hate you. Our experience with Dr. Martinez, Dr. Roesner, and Judy Bailey, were really poor, and a reason to feel very disgusted with pet care. This place suffers from bad customer service, and incompetent staff. more

Will Never Go There Again. 1/30/2012

No wonder why there are many negative reviews about Loving Hands Animal Clinic on the internet. Our experience at Loving Hands Animal Clinic was not so lovely, but painful, and miserable. After almost two weeks of keeping our pet there, numerous lab test, visits, consultations and discussions with the owner and her manager, and after we pointed out our concerns about the treating vet, we were told that he will be seeking another opinion, and that they could not find anything wrong with our pet, although they put her on antibiotics course. When nothing was changed, we became very concerned when the management suggested that the treating vet may have not expressed himself properly because of accent and language barriers. Then the supposedly Loving Hands, helped us take the pet to another veterinary hospital. To our surprise, the vet there, had totally different finding and the pet was on its way to recovery. The Loving Hands then slapped us with bill of several hundred dollars. The place is dysfunctional and the manager there, Judy is extremely offensive. more

Not recommended! 9/1/2011

I don't mind spending money. I want the best for my pets. This clinic is the farthest thing from that. The front desk is rude, slow and disorganized. The technicians are slow, rude and I don't believe they know what they are doing. I have received the wrong prescriptions and my cat got an infection after routine surgery...can you say dirty? They talk a good game, but can't produce. If you want the best for your pets, don't go here! more

All about the money-caution 7/13/2011

All about the money. Read other reviews on the web. There have been other issues about their tactics, billing, and unnecessary tests. I took a small cockatiel (bird) in for a nail trim and was told I HAD to have an annual exam for the first visit--its not a recommendation or choice. Here it is a year later and I am being told I HAVE to have an annual exam again (not a recommendation or choice), or they won't service my pet for another nail trim. Of course, they make it sound like it is all about her health. She is 22 years old and doing well. She has had exams over the yrs., but not annually. No other vet in 22 yrs. has required this which makes me feel its all about the money! I am not paying $100-150 for a $12 nail trim. Shopping for a new vet. more

Dependable and VERY caring 10/11/2010

Loving Hands Animal Clinic is a place you can trust for you pet’s care. As a veterinary student who has spent time at many clinics, I strongly support the level of passion and commitment that LHAC gives to their clients and patients. Doctors at Loving Hands practice quality medicine with close attention to current diagnostic and treatment protocols and their nurses treat all patients with the care and respect they would give their own. Loving Hands supports preventative medicine and yearly wellness exams to catch disease early and emphasizes client communication throughout the practice to make sure you are a part of the decision making process in your pet’s medical care. The four doctors within the practice have special interests in different areas of medicine including behavior, internal medicine, alternative therapy, and avian/exotic care. They regularly exercise each other as resource to make sure your pet’s medical needs are met regardless of the problem or species. Digital x-ray equipment offers fast and clear pictures to figure out your pet’s problem, and modern surgery tools allow for common surgical procedures to be performed faster with fewer post-operative complications. You can be confident your pet is getting the proper testing, treatment, and handling care you are paying for. If you are new to the area and are looking for a practice to start a relationship with, Loving Hands will not disappoint. more

Excellent Veterinary Clinic In Alpharetta 10/8/2010

I am fairly new to the area & let me just say that this is THE place to go for your entire pet family! They care for dogs, cats, exotics & birds. They carry the Harrison's organic bird food as well as a variety of other products that are helpful. I was very pleased with the care that my african grey received while there. The doctors & staff are very thorough and caring. I did not feel rushed or hurried as I have at some vets in the past. I also got a thorough education about flea & tick control & heartworm prevention(which is recommended year round in GA)for my dog. I appreciate all the helpful advice I have received & will recommend them to everyone but especially bird, rabbit & guinea pig & rat people.( I also have pet rats that have been treated there). more

Best Vet in Atlanta 5/11/2010

LH was recommended to me by a specialist in 1998. I have taken all my cats to Dr Rosner since that time. LH is a very loving environment. They are expensive but you get superior care. I love being able to make an appointment in advance with the DR of your choice. I don't mind if there is a wait because I know when it is our turn we will get wonderful care. I appreciate everything they have ever done for my cats and I know they are getting the best care possible. Because of their superior care Dr Rosner identified thyroid problems in our 14 year old cat very quickly and immediatley referred us to the specialist to have this handled. Without Dr Rosner's knowledge and very quick testing we might not have known about this problem until it was too late. Pros: Excellent Care more

Caution Recommended 1/26/2010

I write this right after having been hung up on by ""Raquel"" at the Loving Hands Animal Clinic. I have been waiting 17 days for a call from JoAnne Roesner, a DVM, with results of a parathyroid (blood?) test that was taken on 1-9-10. This is the second test on my 15.5 y/o beagle, whom I am advised is in the early stages of renal failure. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to have someone at the clinic tell me why a parathyroid test was run on a dog with kidney failure (and for which I paid $130.) I waited 17 days for the results of the test and a return call from Dr. Roesner. I was told each time I called that she would call me when she was available. There are 4 DVMs at the clinic, surely one of them could have returned my call and discussed my dog's condition, test results, recommended treatment plan, costs, expected results, etc. Finally, I became upset when ""Raquel"" could not get full, complete answers from Dr. Roesner and Dr. Roesner would not call me and speak wtih me herself. I hate to think, but believe it so, that a phone call doesn't generate an office fee, and therefore, there simply isn't time for such an activity. I question Loving Hands overhead, given the very fine building they built for themselves. I have to question if they put profit over care. They once charged me $800 for vaccinations and simple check ups on two of my dogs. I will be returning to another vet clinic, unfortunately it is quite a distance away, which makes it difficult, but that clinic (Greater Atlanta Veterinary Clinic) has provided very good care to other pets I've had. Shame on you, Loving Hands Pros: Very attractive clinic building Cons: Not Client Focused/Very Expensive more

Worst Customer Service EVER!!! 9/24/2007

Worst Customer Service EVER!! Don't bother going to this place. Dr. Roesner is so caught up in herself she forgets that the customer is the important party. Her credentials may be impressive on paper but her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. They are overpriced and in short bothered with their own policies rather than the customers wishes. There are so many vets around don't waste your time with these people! Alpharetta Animal Clinic is a good alternative in the vicinity. Pros: Dr. Seitz one of the new vets is good. I look forward to him opening his own practice! Cons: Everything else about this place is awful... more
