My son had two front teeth broken during his freshman basketball game at Katy High. The Dentist did a good job with a double root canal and caps. The total cost was about $3500.00. My problems started when Sherri, in the business office told me that my out of pocket cost was 750.00 higher than first stated. She said the original price was"just an estimate". I was never told the original quoted price was just an estimate, but the schools' supplemental insurance covered it so I didn't gripe too much. In the end I actually overpaid by $210.00 and requested a refund in march. Sherri agreed that I had a credit balance of $210.00 and she would request a refund check to be sent to me. Over the next six weeks, I called a few times because I had not received the check. Every time Sherri said the check would be there soon. Last week I told her it had been six weeks and she said she would call accounting and check on it and call me right back. I called her back four hours later, and she said the accountants were out of the office. (At 2:00pm on a Wednesday, really?) After raising my voice and asking where my money was, she hung up on me. I then called the main office. Shockingly, when I asked for accounting, they were there and aswered the phone. I told them my problem and was transfered to Gretchin in processing. She was Great!!! She said she saw that I had a credit balance and that no request for a refund had ever been submitted by the Katy office! She said she would handle it, and I got my money two days later. The Katy office did not make a simple mistake. They flat out lied to me! There is a big difference between incompetent and dishonest. I will never go back there and I would never wish this type of tretment on anyone.
