I know it takes time to make a good pizza, but after an hour+ wait, and the waitress still got the order wrong! The pie tasted good, but I'll never visit this place again. ...

Worth the Drive and Wait 8/22/2002

I live 45 minutes form this italian restauant, and it is weel worth the drive. The pizza is THE BEST EVER, and the pasta is also excellent they make everything homemade including the noodles and sauce. Walk into the restaurant and the aroma is mouth watering. Everything is so good it only keeps you coming back for more. Pros: pizza(sausage), Cheese Ravilois Cons: busy on weekends more

The pizza crust on this pizza is pure heaven. It is not a bit greasy and as light and fluffy as could be. When you bite into it it melts in your mouth. They truly have the most delicious pizza out there..... more

WE WERE IN THE CHICAGO AREA IN THE LATE 1980'S, AND FRIENDS TOOK US TO LOUISA'S. AS AN ITALIAN I REARLY EAT IN ITALIAN REST. I'M SPOILED THAT WAY. MY MOTHER ALWAYS MADE EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH AND YOU JUST CAN'T COMPARE. WELL WE MET LOUISA, AND I FELT THAT I WAS BACK HOME IN MY MOTHERS HOUSE, THE SMELLS, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE FAMILY ALL THERE HELPING OUT. IT WAS WONDERFUL. WE KEEP IN TOUCH WITH LOUISA AND ALSO HAVE THEM SEND OUT PIZZAS EVERY FEW MONTHS. more

Gotta Love the Pizza 8/16/2002

I am a big fan of louisa's pizza and pasta. The pizza is outstanding but the Lasagna is something that nobody could even come close to. She makes it with homemade noodles and it is delicious. She aslo makes eggplant lasagna that is very good it is not on the menu but she will makeit for you if you ask. more

I own a plumbing store on the south side and this is one of our favorite places to eat pizza and pasta from. The pizza is mouth watering delicious!!!They also make great pasta You can't wrong with anything on the menu. more

Chicago Style Pizza 8/15/2002

I happen to be golfing out at Midlothian Country Club, and someone told us that if we wanted the best food out on the south side to try Louisa's, which was down the street form the golf course. So we went and ordered a piza with sauasge and spinach and garlic , when it showed up on the table the smell was incredible and the taste was even more delicious then you could imagine. I took pre cooked pizza's home to my family who also fell in love with the pizza. I am a regular customer ever since!!! more

Delicious 8/14/2002

I am a CPA and did the books at a retirment home out by Louisa's and one day someone had told me to go there if wanted the best pizza. I ordered a cheee and sausage pizza it was outstanding the sausage was excellent. I no longer work for the retirement home, and I live on the North Shore and still go out there any chance I get to have the best pizza ever, They sell pre-cooked pizza's that you can take home and make also which I do and they are excellent. more

The have the best pizza and pasta anywhere. I have been a regular customer for years and still go in once a week to pick up food. It doesn't get any better. The lady who owns the restaurant many years ago worked for Due's downtown, and brought this pizza out south, the only thing is it is better then Due's ever was. more
