That's Right, Five Stars 7/29/2011

My dog hurt her leg on a hike and began limping, and both she and I were really scared. The staff at Longmont Animal Hospital took great care of her and made us both feel better. I felt good knowing I had them taking care of my girl. more

Caring, Loving, and Intelligent Care 7/29/2011

When taking your pet to a vet, make the wise choice and run a check on him and make sure that he/she is qualified in all areas of treatment - especially diagnostic procedures with their own lab. Longmont Animal Hospital gets 5 stars in all categories. If you watch Dr. Shaffer while he is tending to your pet, you will see the kindest, most intent eye contact with your pep that is unbelievably genuine. This is a gift and should be recognized and respected. My the staff there has my gratitude, and my sanity depends on their caring, loving, and intelligent care. more

Dr. Shaffer Works Miracles! 7/29/2011

I got my rescue dog from the shelter, Diego was not in the best of shape. Dr. Shaffer poked and prodded him for about a year and got him back to health. Then for some reason I thought it would be great to change vets and go to the new clinic that opened up down the street. Needless to say, Ego got really sick and my brother (in that annoying older-sibling voice) told me to get Ego back to Dr. Shaffer before I lost him. He was right...Dr. Shaffer was noted throughout the area as the ""Best Diagnostician"" small animal doctor around the area. So I went back with records and x-rays in hand. Diego spent 2 days with Dr. Shaffer while he ran tests on him to see if he could jump start my kidneys. He was upfront with me and told me all he could do was to try a certain drug and see if it would be effective. Lo and Behold...it worked! Ego has been happy for the past 4 years due to Dr. Shaffer taking a chance on a miracle for him. Thank you so much! more

I have a great experience at Longmont Small Animal Hospital. Their staff is very courteous and timely. I never had a problem getting an appointment. I found Dr. Shaffer to be very thorough and she explains everything very well. I definitely recommend this place to any pet owner. more

Dr Shaffer is genuinely nice and even remembered my dog when I brought him in a few weeks ago to get a wound checked (which I was able to get him scheduled for immediately). Thank you so much!! more

Dr Shaffer diagnosed my cat with thrombocytopenia. His explanation of this disorder was excellent, care and treatment of the cat wonderful and I have been able to enjoy my pets company for four years and counting. Thanks again Dr, Shaffer more

He did a great job. 6/8/2011

I had a dog with chronic vomiting and Dr. Shaffer recommended scoping my dog and sending in a biosopy to see if my dog had inflammatory bowel disease which came back positive for IBD. Now my dog is on meds and no more vomiting. He did a great job and explained things very well to me. more
