I got my rescue dog from the shelter, Diego was not in the best of shape. Dr. Shaffer poked and prodded him for about a year and got him back to health. Then for some reason I thought it would be great to change vets and go to the new clinic that opened up down the street. Needless to say, Ego got really sick and my brother (in that annoying older-sibling voice) told me to get Ego back to Dr. Shaffer before I lost him. He was right...Dr. Shaffer was noted throughout the area as the ""Best Diagnostician"" small animal doctor around the area. So I went back with records and x-rays in hand. Diego spent 2 days with Dr. Shaffer while he ran tests on him to see if he could jump start my kidneys. He was upfront with me and told me all he could do was to try a certain drug and see if it would be effective. Lo and Behold...it worked! Ego has been happy for the past 4 years due to Dr. Shaffer taking a chance on a miracle for him. Thank you so much!
