I've used Longmont Small Animal Hospital for almost 30 years! I am an animal lover to the extreme and don't accept anything less than the absolute best for my furry friends. I would never go anywhere else! more

You can tell when you walk in that they love all kinds of animals. My cat is well taken care of. more

Dr Shaffer is a very high quality vet. He's very professional and takes great care of my dog. He takes his time; I've never felt rushed. I know he cares a lot. more

As I read all of these reviews to select a vet as we are new to town, thought we couldn't miss with selecting this vet. Our experience was SO very different than what is written here and the references to a female Dr. Shaffer. We had a male Dr. Shaffer and found him to be impatient, more concerned about his ""professional"" opinion than listening to what was going on with our dog; and not aggressive in treating a very serious condition. We initially thought a one-vet practice would provide us with personal care. The real consequence was the unwillingness or inability to deal with a serious condition quickly and to not carefully or thoroughly review blood chemistry results. After 3 1/2 weeks of care that included five visits in this time, and two misdiagnosis, our dog has died. When I came in to get our file for a second opinion, I was met with a rude receptionist and a vet who seemed insulted that we would do this. His ego was clearly more important than the care of our dog. The second vet was more concerned about the dog; immediately sent us up to CSU, but by this time, it was too late. I would not go to this vet if your animal has a serious illness or you need aggressive action. more

B and I love this place! We take all of our kitties here. Staff & Vet have always been super nice and knowledgeable. Comforting to know they actually care about our babies. Coffee & tea for the pet owners and they even sent us a thank you card... great pet & owner care! more

I've brought my dog in to be seen by both veterinarians, and they are both awesome! You can tell how much they like animals. The office staff is great too. The doctors are so caring and helpful. Thank you for taking such good care of Chevy! more

The constant, high level of care I've received from Longmont Small Animal Hospital has been nothing sort of astounding and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hospital to anyone. The best thing I can say is that they took one of my dog-owner nightmares in vet visits and have turned a vet visit into something both Emma and I look forward to! more

My uncle said I should write you a review to thank you for helping me with my hurt leg. I was really scared and you made me feel better and took really good care of me. The staff here is friendly, professional, and I would recommend them to everyone. They swiftly bandaged my cats leg all up, gave her some antibiotics, and she's happy again. I'm so glad I came here. Thank-you guys! more
