Bait and Switch Scam - Avoid Lone Star Park at all cost 4/4/2011

While the track may be beautiful, the sales staff is less than ethical. We booked a corporate event months in advance and had a contract for a specific suite. At the time of booking, we were told there where a number of options and selected the best one for our needs. However as the race day came near we were informed that our contractual suite was now sold to some other firm and in turn, we were moved to the worst suite in the facility. If you are considering planning a corporate event at Lone Star Park, avoid it. Their bait and switch tactics will ensure that you have a terrible experience. more

Lone Star Park At Grand Prairie 12/6/2005

Lone Star Park At Grand Prairie is a very nice racing track. It is very big and new. It is very neat and clean. It has a vast paking lots. It is located in grand praire. wax museum is also neaby. It like it a lot. They also have indoor montors and betting places. they have very nice seating area. It is a nice place to go on weekend. I reciimnd it to people interested in horse racing. more

So much Fun! 10/17/2005

I went with my boyfriend to this track when he turned 21 (we did vegas when I turned 21 so that it was fair to both of us.) We both had a really good time. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The Employees are all really nice and did their best to explain how to place a bet. I haven't been to the 4th of July Celebration yet but have heard it is fantastic. I really liked being able to go out to the stable area and view the horses before each race. Throughout the Race Season, Lone Star Park will usually Team up with Dr.Pepper and offer $3.00 Tuesdays (could be Thursdays I cant remember). The $3.00 and a Dr Pepper can pays for entry into Lone Star Park, A Large Soda and a Race Schedule. more

Fun place to watch the horses run! 9/28/2005

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie is a great horse track. It is very clean and very pretty. They have races everyday durning race season and even have concerts out there (fourth of july, etc). The staff is wonderful and it is so much fun to go watch the horses race. It is a great way to spend the day and there is plently to do while you are there. There is different seating areas but for the general area- it is very affordable. Look for coupons! more

Can bring the family... 9/6/2005

This is a very beautiful track. The area is well maintained and well kept. I always have a great time here no matter where you sit. The suites are wonderful and have great service and a fabulous buffet. The ground level is nice and there are areas for children. The food is good and the prices are average for this type of venue. They also have great other activities that happen here at the track. We have been here for 4th of July fireworks which was very family friendly.  more

Great Holiday Celebrations 8/27/2005

This is the best place especially on a holiday when not only do they have horse racing but they also have activities for the kids. The firework show at 4th of July was outstanding where you bring your chair and a blanket for the kids and relax in the grassy open area. Even if you don't bet on the horses it still an exciting day for the kids. more

Fun Outing 8/9/2005

We got tickets to go to LondStar Park on July 3rd and had a wonderful time. This was our first trip to the track and we took 2 of our children with us. I really didn't know what to expect, but there were several other children there and it did seem a very family-friendly atmosphere. We sat in boxed seats in the air conditioned section. The kids loved watching the horses and the snacks. It was really a great deal of fun. more

Live and Simulated 8/1/2005

Live or simulated racing is available here. I had heard that they were trying to get slot machines here and that would just add to the value of the park if they offered slot machines. Live horse racing is very nice at the park. The track is clean, and the food is great. more
