A change at Locustwood 5/16/2012

From the reviews of the cemetery I was hesitant when the time came to bury my mother this past month. It has been years since I was there after dad died so I didn't know what to expect. I stopped by the office so I could check on mom and dad's plot before the funeral was scheduled and was helped by a nice gentleman by the name of Vic. He answered all my questions without rushing me and took me out to the site to ensure I found it. At one point a young women from back in the office came out to answer a question I had about the headstones and was very nice. Both were very compassionate and professional in helping me get ready for mom's funeral. more

horrible customer service reps 1/1/2010

My family bought 8 plots in this cemetery with the thoughts that it would become our family cemetery. When we first began over ten years ago it seemed fine. As time moves on we have been very saddened with how the staff has treated us during the most difficult times in our lives. The manager and staff are cold and uncaring and all about money. They are difficult to speak with concerning paper work and caring for the grave site. The flat stones sink and when requesting that they be raised and cared for an attitude comes with it. If we didn't already have 6 family members buried here we would never never use this place. Run!!! Cons: nasty people more

Terrible customer service 8/28/2009

The staff are rude and their tone, especially when speaking with the grieving, is abominable. I asked to speak to the manager when my interaction with a second person was also unsatisfactory, and it turns out this person was the manager! Unless you have a specific reason to use this location, don't put yourself or your loved ones through the ordeal of interacting with these people. Cons: Rudeness, incompetence more

Avoid / Makes death harder then it ever needs to be 9/4/2008

While the cemetery is kept up the person running it (owner) leave little to be desired. This is a service industry and one that must be handled with compassion and consistency. Neither is displayed at Locustwood Cemetery. Do not leave your loved ones to 'deal' with these people. Death is hard and the business is there to make it easier, unfortunately Locustwood has not received the memo! more
