I really like this place come peach season. We go out and get five gallon buckets (provided by the orchard) and pick our own peaches. We also make ourselves sick eating so many peaches in the orchard. Whenever you go, make sure to pick a variety of ripe and unripe peaches. If you get too many soft yummy peaches you will need to can them quickly. Getting some unripe peaches gives you some time to eat them as well as some time to can/freeze them. Great place to take the kids as well. more

Pick your own peaches! 8/2/2005

Fresh peaches! There's nothing like it! Livesay's offers the opportunity to pick you own (call ahead) or buy peaches they have picked for you already. Peaches are usually available July/August and may be available earlier or later--just call them and check it out. They are available in small baskets or by the half bushel boxes. Prices summer of 2005 were around $19/ half bushel. Apples available during the fall and a variety of other produce throughout the year. Look for the annual Porter Peach festival in mid-July. more
