I started going to Lisa Turley after leaving my hair dresser of 5 years. She was referred to me by a friend and I am thrilled with Lisa's intuitive abilities to work with my hair, my ideas and create a great, easy to handle hair style. I get tons of compliments and that tells me alot. Lisa is fabulous with color, cut and knows what works for each person.\r Her assistant Mandy is delightful and even though it's a two hour hike down to Scottsdale from Sedona...having Lisa take care of my hair is worth the drive!\r I recommend her to everyone who asks me about my hair. I have been going to Lisa for about 8 years and she has NEVER steered me wrong in a color or hair style. I know I can count on her to tell me the truth if I can handle a new style or not. She has also been there with her expertise on my hair issues and her knowledge about coloring is great! There is not a day that goes hat someone tells me how much they like my color/style! Excellent service, excellent cut -- I'm a huge fan of good form, technique and professionalism, and Lisa as a hairstylist is all of these things. I moved to Phoenix from New York City, and my hairdresser in NYC was top-notch (clients included model Christy Turlington and jeweler David Yurman), so I knew I'd have a hard time finding a hairdresser in Phoenix who matched that precedent. I've skipped around to various hairdressers over the past two years before I finally landed an appointment with Lisa in July, and I'm pleased to say that this cut has lasted me over two months (my motto is the better the cut, the longer it lasts), and I'm returning to Lisa next month (and that's saying a LOT!). I would highly recommend Lisa as a hairdresser... and, as a sidenote, she truly is a lovely person! more

I have going to Lisa for almost 10 years and I have been nothing but happy everytime I leave her chair. I trust her judgement in style and color. If I want something different Lisa comes up with something that complements my face and coloring and it never looks like the old do, my new styles are always fresh and easy to manage. I started going to Lisa about 6 years ago right before I moved to the San Francisco. A friend of mine told me my hair style was getting a little boring a recommended Lisa to fix my Plain-Jane hair before I went off to college.\r \r Well 6 years later I still go to Lisa even though I still live in San Francisco! Yes, she?s that good! Lisa always listens to what I want but isn?t afraid to give her great opinions on how my hair can look it?s best. I hate to admit this but I think she has steered me away from some bad ideas. \r \r Every cut is great. She gives me layers that work great with my face shape and even recommends occasionally that I go a little bit shorter and I loved it every time. yes, lisa turley has been in charge of restyling the undulation of my hair for nine years and counting! she is talented in cut AND color, for the short and sassy coiffures, or long tresses, male or female, it doesn't matter, i've seen them all in her chair, not one has left unhappy, myself included. if you bring a picture with you she will nail it on the head. if you don't have a pic, you are still sure to be pleased with your 'do'. Her cuts last until your next appointment. and your color always matches your skin tone. not only is she a knowledgeable, class A artist she is also a positive, kind person. it''s no coincidence that i've bumped into people that happen to see her too, so book in advance this one IS busy:) if you love compliments on your hair see lisa! I have been in the beauty biz for 20 plus years and have worked with many hairstylists in that time. I have focused my attention on skin and no longer work in a salon so I don't have easy access when it comes to getting my hair done. And because of my background I am very picky and to the dismay of many stylists I know the lingo and can be very demanding! I hunted around for someone to do my hair and was looking for someone creative but meticulous and based on feedback from others decided to try Lisa. Lisa was everything I was looking for and more. She was relaxed and not a diva and made me feel very welcome. She chatted with me about what I wanted and we came to a decision together. She was great at listening to me but still taking control and making me feel like she cared about what I wanted but didn't leave me to be the expert. The cut was great and the color was exactly what I wanted. If you want a stylist that knows what she is doing and cares enough to make you happy then she is your girl! After traveling to Tucson to have my hair done, I finally decided to try a local. I was impressed by the reviews of Lisa Turley so I gave her a call. She did a fantastic job of cutting my hair. I was happy to note that she was on time and professional. I also appreciated being able to set up my appointment with her, personally, via email. No chance of having a front desk person make a mistake in scheduling. \r Pro: Lisa is very good, professional and friendly. I have been living in some of the best cities in the world. New York, Chicago, London, and LA. I have had my hair cut and colored in all of these places as well. I decided to go to Lisa while i was in town visiting after reading all the reviews. My hair has never looked and felt better! Lisa really listens to what you want and does what is best for your hair to keep it super healthy and shiny! I left the salon with gorgeous color and bouncy locks that just screamed for attention !! She did a protein and a ph balance treatment on my hair as well due to all the damage i had from previous colorings! SHE IS AMAZING. GO TO HER FOR A CUT OR COLOR AND YOU WONT BE LET DOWN! Basically... I had been changing hairstylists as often as I change my sheets. I have very fine, bleached-blonde hair that is extremely damaged from previous ""colorists"". I read all of these reviews on citysearch and figured I would give Lisa Turley a try.. and for the FIRST TIME in 5 years my hair actually looks and feels healthy and fuller... after only seeing Lisa 2 times! Also... I have been able to stay blonde. I would recommend Lisa to ANYONE with ANY TYPE of hair. She was absolutely fantastic, and knew all of the right things to do with my thin hair! I have never gotten more compliments on my coloring and cut than I have gotten in the past 3 months - since she started doing my hair. I had the same stylist in Seattle for seven years so when we decided to move to Phoenix I was scared I'd never find someone to cut my hair the way I like. I have short hair so one bad cut and well, it's months of grow out and frustration. That's exactly what happened. When we arrived in Phoenix I asked around and obtained the name of a high-end salon in Scottsdale so I made my appointment. It was a terrible experience and I had one of the worst haircuts imaginable. It was a disaster. A friend's wife recommended Lisa to me and after my bad experience Lisa had to contend with my apprehension and neurosis about my hair. She listened to my sob story and dealt with my fear with grace, professionalism and ease. After consulting with Lisa and hearing her ideas on my cut/style, I sat relaxed in her chair and trusted in her abilities. Lisa is not only good at the technical cut, she is great at really listing to her customer and what they are looking for. We got to know one another and created a plan for where my cut would go over the next few months. I've had three cuts from Lisa and the last on brought so many compliments from co-workers, friends and even strangers that I just had to write about my experience. Lisa listens to what you want and gently provides her opinion on what would look best on you given your lifestyle and hair type. On top of her fantastic abilities as a hair architect and designer she is a fantastic person and wonderful mother. She has such a fantastic personality and is the consummate professional. I highly recommend Lisa Turley! I have had my hair cut and colored twice by Lisa and I have loved the style both times. Everyone comments that the haircolor looks natural and the highlights are beautiful. I am growing my hair out from a short bob and Lisa is cutting my hair so well that it doesn't look like I am in the middle of a grow out. The best thing though is that it is incredibly easy to style. I pretty much wash and go. I have never been able to do that before becuase my hair is wavy. I love my cut and color. Go see Lisa. You won't be disappointed! Pros: color and cut more

I found Lisa through Citysearch. Since I have been Lisa's client, my color is consistent and my recent new haircut (I went from long to short) is fabulous! In fact, I have gotten more compliments in a week on my short ""bob"" style than I ever received during the entire six years that I had long hair. Lisa is always interested to hear what I want, but she doesn't hesitate to tell me if another color or style would be more flattering. Lisa's attitude is positive, which makes me feel positive, and she gives me that little bit of extra confidence I like to have when I leave a hair salon. It?s only hair right? It will grow..at least that was what I told myself driving up to Sachi.\r \r Fear not. Lisa delivers and she does it with warmth and finesse. I felt it the moment I sit down. She talked to me, not through the reflection on the mirror, but turning the chair away and face to face. Lisa Turley did wonders on my over processed, dying hair! She was not only able to brighten my dull locks and begin my road to healthy hair but on top of it all she was able to keep my hair blonde. Lisa listened to my needs and wants and helped me to come up with a realistic approach to creating healthy hair that I can manage and style on my own. I highly recommend her to anyone, her and her assistant are very friendly and down to earth, very easy to hold a conversation with. Let me first begin by saying that I am very picky about my hair. Very. Also, my hair is pretty difficult to handle (as I've been told by a few stylists in the past.) I have really thick hair, and lots of it- and normally like it longer, but with style. Years ago, I had a stylist I LOVED in San Diego- and each visit was like visiting an old friend that you completely trust. I would go in and tell her to do anything. And every time I would come out happy and be constantly asked where my hair was done. Since moving away, I've tried at least a half dozen other stylist- always looking for the ""one"" that had a good sense of modern style, knows hair, and isn't intimidated by my needs and demands. I moved to Arizona a year ago and did extensive research finally trying out another stylist in Scottsdale (not Lisa). I left a few hundred dollars lighter and feeling like she did nothing different. Reading the reviews on this site, I decided to give Lisa a try. And I am SO glad I did. Immediately, I felt comfortable- she was sweet, open, nice and really listened to what I was looking for. In fact, I felt SO comfortable that I trusted her to use her creative expertise to do whatever she felt like- which included giving me bangs for the first time in my adult life. I left LOVING my new cut and color. My boyfriend said it was like having a new girlfriend, he was so happy with her work. Since then, I've gone back to touch up my color, and Lisa gave me terrific advice on how to maintain my look without shelling out gobs of money each visit- which is incredible. She really looks out for what's best for her client, each individual client. I just wish she was closer to where I live! But with her talent, and skills- I would drive anywhere. Meeting Lisa 3 haircuts/colors ago was one of the best things I've experienced in my move to AZ!! I had bounced around for 1-1/2 years, never REALLY deep-down\r ""happy""... Always had the motto ""hair grows"" meaning a not so great cut/color WILL eventually grow out!! One night I saw a woman in the Harkins 101 theatre with hair like mine, only with a FABULOUS cut/color/style & ran over hoping she was a ""local""! She gave me Lisa's name & phone number & said that she gets asked all the time who does her hair!\r \r I checked out Lisa's website & saw her before & after photos... While they looked great, they were MUCH younger than me (56) & I didn't know if she could do the same before & after ""magic"" with me!! When I got to the salon, I thought... ""Great, ANOTHER trendy, young salon with snotty attitudes of all the stylists, right down to the receptionists!!"" NOT SO!!!! EVERYONE smiled, said ""Hello"" & went out of their way to make me feel at home!! There were LOTS of other clients my age there, as well as the 15-25-45 year old group and older!! I immediately felt welcome!!\r \r While Lisa's radiance ""could"" dim others by comparison, she beautifies everyone she touches!\r \r I have very straight, very fine hair that gets ""thinner"" as it reaches my shoulders... The cut Lisa gave me makes me look like I have TWICE as much hair as I do... The color job I had when I walked in was a choppy, (too) blonde foil... It looked VERY unnatural. Now my foil has more golden, auburn highlights, with the background REALLY a natural, beautiful, rich brown color!! \r \r I get SO MANY compliments on my hair now!! NEVER did before!! I couldn't be happier with my hair cut/color/style!!!\r \r And need I say that her assistant, Mandy, has VERY strong fingers & gives a great head massage along with the shampooing and protein treatments beforehand!! With Mandy's strong fingers & the vibrating action of the reclining chair... so RELAXING!!\r \r I'M A FAN!!!!!
