Best

The counter person was courteous, and the salad couldn't have arrived any faster! Shortly after, the most delicious pizza (fresh mozzarella, garlic, basil, tomatoes, and baby spin...

Worst

The pizza isn't that great and the atmosphere is worse -- loud and obnoxious and they don't even really have a wait staff. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Pizza crust is tops 12/21/2003

Pizza crust is wonderful, salads are great, but the pesto is heavy. We were there tonight for dinner with some friends from work. We had side salads and a signature pie, The Five Points. For the salad, the roasted pecans and the croutons were delicious. For the pizza, the pesto on the pizza had chunks of garlic and the sun-dried tomatoes were prominent and a little too chunky. I don't think we'll be ordering that particular pizza again. The pizza crust, however, is what we'll go back for. The crust is divine! Cons: Parking more

pizza snobs 12/11/2003

How trendy! Style over Substance! How could you rate Raleigh's best pizza without even ranking Andy's? Oh, I guess it's just to basic for the ""upper crust"". more

Best Pizza & Awesome Salads 8/7/2003

You can't go wrong with the pizza here and the salads are awesome and large. Come hungry and enjoy all the artistic scenery or sit in the ""favorite"" outdoor patio and people watch. Con: Smallest bar I have ever seen. A/C is always on high. Since most people sit outside it never warms inside. Bring a jacket or light sweater. Pros: Pizza, Salad Cons: small cramp bar, usually cold inside more

Great pizza, but keep an open mind. 7/20/2003

Lillys has great pizza, with combinations of varied gourmet toppings that one would be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. Do not go wanting the cheese and pepperoni standard, Lillys pizza excels with the unusual. Their spinach and portobello salad with almonds and fontina makes my mouth water especially when coupled with their outstanding tahini dressing (when in house, for sadly sometimes it is not). Despite the great food, I can see where Lillys is probably more popular with a younger, non-family crowd. While some describe the decor as trendy, for others it may be more Goodwill. And Ill be honest, the staff is a bit on the alternative side and service can range from quite efficient to: Hey buddy, you want to take my order? However, when the meal is said and done, youre going to leave happy. Pros: Great pizza & salads, Varied, eclectic menu, Outdoor seating Cons: Variable service, Staff can be odd more

Great Neighborhood 6/26/2003

Not only can you get the best Pizza in Raleigh, which now has more options than ever, but the coolest beer serving movie theater(Rialto) and a killer coffeehouse(Third Place) all within walking distance. Try the spinach Calzone with roasted garlic and red pepers, the salads are huge with homemade croutons, the beer is cheap compared to most places, and you can sit outside - all good in my book. Plus you can pick up coffee and dessert next door and have it out on the patio or take it to the movie theatre - the owners dont mind if you bring in coffee from Third Place. Great neighborhood joints in a world where these places are quickly dissappearing! Pros: Location, Outdoor seating, Original, Unique Cons: A little loud, Huge portions more

Best calzones I've ever had 5/4/2003

Yes, it's loud, and if you're frightened by tattoos and piercings you'd best stay away, but if you do, you'll be missing the best calzones in Raleigh or anywhere else. Sauce is so good that I always ask for some extra on the side. Pizza is great too. I've always found the staff to be fun & helpful with no attitude (and I'm pretty square). ""Lighten up, Francis"" and enjoy the great food! Pros: excellent calzone, fun mixed crowd, ecclectic decor Cons: really loud music, sometimes hard to par more

Best Pizza in the Triangle! 3/14/2003

Hands down, best pizza in the Triangle at the South Glenwood/Five Points location! Friendliest alt./eclectic staff in the Triangle too. Five Points location also more laid back and not as devoted to conservative families and dating couples. Don't just try the pizza--the house salad is a pleasant surprise too! more

Best Pizza EVER 3/7/2003

I can safely say that Lilly's Pizza is the best damn pizza I've ever had. It's so absolutely scrumptious, that you forget to talk with your date while you're there! When you get over the fact that what you're eating is so undeniably delicious, you'll realize that hey, the place is pretty awesome-looking as well. There's art all over the walls, and they play rockin music...from Def Leppard to you name it. The people there are fast and friendly, and you won't forget it. Go there, I *promise*...you'll have no regrets. Pros: Delicious food, fast service, friendly atmosphere Cons: Crowded, parking more

Worth The Hassle??? 3/6/2003

Lilly's has pretty good pizza, but we were not at all impressed with the atmosphere (noisy, with too many obnoxious posers camped out at the tables) or the service. The staff look and act like ex-record store employees. Life's too short to spend your money on pizza with a side order of ridicule, scorn and apathy. Pros: good pizza Cons: loud, too many posers, sarcastic staff more

Lilly's??? 2/9/2003

My family went for dinner. Parking was a NIGHTMARE, seating was slow, and none of us liked the pizza! Cons: parking, crowd, food more

To ""Service Sucks"" 1/30/2003

To the gentleman who couldn't figure out how to stand in line, I am sorry. For his girlfriend, I feel even worse. Ya'll have discovered the conspiracy that is Lilly's Pizza. As for the rest of us that are part of the inside joke, try a Dante's Inferno--it just could be the best pizza I've ever eaten. To all the whiners and cry babies that complain about the service or the atmosphere--please go stand in the corner, fold your arms, and pout. more

It's ok 1/11/2003

Lilly's Pizza is ok in regards to the food...certainly not the best pizza place in Raleigh. Be prepared for loud music and a long wait for your food. Pros: young, loud Cons: food, wait for food more

greatnoisyplaceforpizza 1/2/2003

Great atmosphere for friends and dinner. Love eating outside on warm spring nights. Pros: crowded, great food Cons: parking is tough, not enough outdoor ta more

Good Food Bad Service 12/24/2002

The pizza is the best in Raleigh, BUT you must accept the fact that your order will rarely be correct. They often forget to make the order, give you the wrong order, take a long time. The good news about that is that you often get the pizza free (as you should). Pros: Delicious, Environment Cons: Service more

Creative & tasty, but.... 12/6/2002

Sweet crust, however a touch thick for NY pizza fans. Lots of creative offerings & combinations more

Definately Hot 12/5/2002

Definately a cool place to go. Lilly's has a great atmosphere, it's definately nonconvientional. A very wide varity in the menu, from hummus to hawiian pizza. Check it out! Pros: Inexpensive, Good Atmosphere, Good Selections Cons: Bad Parking more

Hardcore 5 Points 12/2/2002

Cool crowd Cool music Best pizza in the Triangle, bar none. Not for the faint of heart. more

Heaven right here on earth.... 11/27/2002

Lily's has the best pizza in North Carolina!!!!!!!!!!! If you want a taste of heaven go there immediately!!!! Pros: Inexpensive, Value, Taste Cons: parking more

lick it up!! 11/17/2002

the food was like pizza and the service was like so intensely satisfying. they made me feel like a queen. if you want a nose on your pizza, just ask one of the employees....theyre known for their impecable service. I will come again and again! Pros: intimate, intense service, raptourous pizza Cons: packed w/ "mob"sters, "evil" was lacking more

Hot Pizza, Hot Employees 10/4/2002

Lilly's pizza is the greatest pizza ever. The buddha is faaabulous, and make sure you try the artichoke dip, it's off the hook. Oh yeah, it's self-serve so don't expect to get waited on! They hate it when you do that. All the ingredients are super-fresh, not old-n-crusty like almost everywhere else. And the employees are all really hot. Especially the ones who work the oven. They aren't trying to be trendy, they just think it's funny. If you take it seriously, they're laughing at YOU! Pros: pizza like none other, fine-ass employees, hilarious music Cons: rich yuppies, rich yuppies, rich yuppies more
