Lights Fantastic

I have mixed feelings about Lights Fantastic. They have a good showroom, which makes the significantly higher cost of their products somewhat worthwhile. They were helpful with my first-time ceiling fan inquiries, placed my order accurately, and called promptly when it arrived. However, I asked them before ordering if they did installations and they said yes. Turns out, that wasn't true--they only recommend a third party who does installations. (In fairness I should add that the installer they recommended did a pretty good job.) Also, I wanted a control for the fan. They suggested a remote. I said I didn't want a remote, due to possible issues of reliability. So they sold me a wall-mount control, which after ordering it I found out was, basically, a battery-operated remote. I elected not to have the control installed and was out the money because their policy is not to refund special orders. The loss is partly my responsibility for being a newbie and not knowing to ask, but they knew my requirements and said nothing. To sum up, my experience with them could have been much worse, but was not the best. I'll go back if I'm looking for a table lamp in their showroom, but probably not otherwise. more

This showroom does have a large selection of fixtures, however, most must be ordered. It took me two days and two trips to the store to get the clerk to actually place my order with the manufacturer. I was called when my order arrived, but when I went to pick it up, only half the order was there. I had to call back repeatedly to find out when the rest of the order would arrive because no one there could be relied upon to notify me. When I needed replacement parts, the manufacturer said I would have to replace thru the retailer. One competent clerk was able to order the parts, but no one ever called to say they had arrived. After five weeks of waiting, I called to check on the parts. It took over half an hour for the clerk to find my order. Then she said she had to check with the manufacturer and would call me back. Ten days later she had never called back. I called again and this time no one could find a record of the order. I was told they would call back. I am still waiting. Its really too bad their customer service is so very poor because they do have a good selection of fixtures...you just can't buy them there! Great selection with excellent variety in style. The salespeople were knowledgeable and went out of their way to help. Prices ranged from low to extraordinarily high, with lots to choose from in between. When I went back to show them a problem I had with one of my lights (my fault), they replaced the broken piece at no charge and gave me an extra just in case it happened again. Very highly recommended. more

Lights Fantastic is the best. Their prices may not be the lowest in town, but considering everything, they are the best. The sales representative was very friendly and helpful. Also they take the returns within 10 days without any restocking fees, which you can not find anywhere. I am very pleased with them. If you are looking for contemporary lightings, they have the best showroom. I would highly recommend them. Pros: friendly service, no restocking fee more
