Incredible showroom, friendly sales people! 3/16/2012

I heard about Lightology from my sister who recently bought her first condo. I went in and their salesman Jeremy took the time to show me around and help me find the right chandelier for my dining room and we were able to find exactly what I was looking for. The price was the price no cheaper than anywhere else, but the service and selection was excellent. more

Customer Service Doesn't Exsist Here 2/8/2012

One star is far too much to afford this bricks and mortar dinosaur. After having purchased more than $40,000 woth of lighting from this dump for 2 projects in distant locatiions, all I can say is run away from this lighting shop of horrors. Long story short, if you try to return any merchandise that is either not to your liking or defective, you will not be allowed to do so either because of the impossible return policies of the store or the fact that they will try and buffalo you into dealing with the manufacturer of the product as if they didn't sell you the product. I was loathe to deal with this place on a second project I was constructing (after having a similar experience the first time) but got talked into it by my architect. They will do or say anything to sell you product. Try and return any piece or part for whatever reason, because it doesn't look any good after it was installed in your project or it was defective or broken, whatever. You are stuck with the fixture. Do what I did after purchasing more than $40k with of product and take them to arbitration though a charge card. Never pay this place with cash. It is a one-way street which you will regret all of your days. And even if you pin them down and have the opportunity to return a defective or unsavory fixture, you will be charged a 30% ""re-stocking fee"". The fact is that all their fixtures cost 30% or less of the selling price, usually much less, than the price they boldly charge you. So return a fixture and they haven't lost a dime because they will sell it in their 2nds room and still be ahead of the game, and you the customer. Ask for Amanda, customer service manager, and she can share their side if the story should you care to hear it. Pathetic. more

Don't Interrupt the staff because they are busy - way too busy for trash like you. 3/13/2008

Great selection, *&^&%$@ of a salesman. We made the ""mistake"" of daring to ask a question to a salesman who happened to have his desk against the back wall of 1st floor of the store today. He was completely and totally annoyed that we interrupted whatever it was that he was doing. A particular fixture (the Alpha 4) looked more yellow than the Miami 4 - probably due to the type of light bulb used but we weren't sure so we asked. A normal salesperson would have heard us (he was literally INCHES away from us.) asking each other the question and jumped in to offer assistance. Instead, this ""person"" told us that the light we were questioning was ""not yellow"" but maybe the bulb was burning out. Ok. Sorry Mr. Lighting-Expert. We didn't mean to disturb you from your wildly successful, profitable and booming real estate market home furnishing designer career. Needless to say, we will be taking our business (which would have been a nice amount considering the current economy) and our opinion of this horrible, horrible store anywhere and everywhere but here. I have read bad things about this store in many places. I'm sorry to say I agree wholeheartedly. Pros: None - the Internet rules! Cons: Staff, staff, staff! more
