Swimming pool design and construction 5/9/2012

We had a Lifetime Pool installed in 2012.\r It took over SEVEN MONTHS from signing to completion.\r The plaster had to be fixed three times, and is still not perfect.\r They also goofed on the plumbing, and never did clean up all their mess.\r At first, things went very well. But as soon as something went wrong,\r they basically forgot about us. From then on I had to continually pester\r them and even threaten legal action.\r It appears that if you get off their standard planning sequence,\r you are on your own or very low priority.\r Other than the plaster and inexcusable delay though, it is a very nice pool.\r So I am not at all surprised there are some good reviews. \r Basically you roll the dice with them.\r Key advice: If you do go with Lifetime Pools, make sure to have the contract\r state that final payment is when job is fully completed, not on plaster. more

Swimming pool construction 5/14/2009

We live in the East Bay and after checking with about 5 companies picked Lifetime Pool as we were impressed with their sales person. However, the delivery did not measure up to the promises. \r Once the agreement was signed, the project passed on to the construction crew and it was difficult to communicate with them. The worse was the concrete contractor: several surface areas started cracking only after several months. \r In terms of pool construction there were also several problems:\r the inpool cleaning system was too powerful and instead of blowing dust and debris towards a receptacle area, just end up blowing all over the pool. \r right after the pool was done, some yellowish substance started leaking through the cleaning system jet holes, leaving streaks that cannot be removed.\r It took over 5 months to finish construction and during this period no one from Lifetime ever bothered to check in on progress and we certainly have not heard from anyone after the last payment. \r Conclusio more

Satisfactory installation...lackluster service. Overall satisfied with product but have had some issues with equipment which were handled by Lifetime, albeit rather slowly. Hard to get service folks on the phone and to get called back. Salesperson very knowledgeable. In general, happy with the pool. more

Swimming Pool Design and Construction 5/9/2006

We used Lifetime Pools when we built our swimming pool and spa, and were very please with their work. Although there were some times when they seemed to have some problems communicating with each other and getting their schedule straight, the end result was beautiful and has held up well over the years. They were very helpful at planning the layout and design, and offered a good selection of materials. more
