I lived there for one year and the manager is just terrible. She has her own ""policy"" which is totally different from the lease to confuse you and you pay more than you expected. Never Trust Her She gave us another unit after we paid the deposit without notifying us. No Sorry, of course. This apartment is just as bad as she is. The first two weeks was the worst time of my life, I was bit by fleas. When I told her, she questioned if that was from my mattress. It turned out my mattress is fine so they sent someone to kill the fleas and I had to vacuum everyday. Then the ceiling leaked due to the construction upstairs. They didn't clean up and left us carpet soaked with ""water? or detergent?"". Of course, we had to dry the carpet ourselves. Then the first month passed, we got a late fee notification only because we paid our rent at the 1st day of the month. (She told us to pay on 1st to 5th. and is different from the lease) Yes, we were stupid enough for not reading the lease thoroughly. So this time when I checked out., I brought the lease with me. She charged me for 50 bucks because I put the old mattress at the dumpster. (I moved out two weeks ago, I have no idea why she's so sure that is me. She said, we always know"") She convinced me this is a policy written in the document I signed when I moved in. To make it short, first, she lied to me it is on the lease but not. Then, she refused to do vacate inspection with me. Third, she also told me that she can charge me for everything not included in the lease. Don't never ever live there cuz you won't get your deposit back and you can't dump your trash. more

Rent at your own risk 7/9/2009

The walls are thin and you can hear a lot of what goes on in other apartments and the hallways. The people below me smoke and the smell constantly billows up into my apartment through a vent, giving it the most awful smell (until I invested in a $50 air purifier). Walk into the Office at the risk of your own health, it smells like Marlboro Country in there. The dog policy is incredibly frustrating. You are only supposed to own small dogs (under 20 lbs), yet TWO big black labs live in the complex. Despite a ""clean up after your dog rule"" and despite paying a $250 ""pet fee"" you cannot walk your dog on the grounds, instead the dog must be walked on the tiny strip of grass that is along the outside of the complex. This area of grass is muddy in the spring and fall, apparently they are happy seeing mud tracked into the apartments. I was constantly getting flies in my apartment (sometimes 6 at a time). I realized the problem stemmed from my bedroom window- which looks like it's at least 30 years old. I had to line my window with duct tape to stop them from coming in, which probably breaks some kind of fire code but it is useless to call maintenance, as I will explain next. Finally, maintenance is incredibly sub-par. I have problems that have needed fixing in my apartment since I moved in 6 months ago. Despite calling many times to inform them the problem has not been fixed, and being told, ""it's next on Tony's list"", nothing has been done. I gave up calling. Pros: Rent, included utilities, location Cons: Everything else more
