This company is a rip off!!!! I spent two years ago $3,000 on a fence and set of rails. They did a nice job. I don't mind paying for a good product. I had the same sales guy, Steve come down to give me a price on anpther set of rails for my new side stoop. His said he would come to my house between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Told him we eat dinner around five. He showes up at 4:30 when I'm making dinner. Said he will take the measurments and call me later. I said that was fine. He never called. My wife called him later the next day. He came right out and told my wife the company was ripping us off. He was so sorry. Two rails, only two steps, $750.00 He said they were charging us $250.00 just to come to the house. He said to my wife to call the office and ask why it was so much and to see if they would help me on the price. So I called. I was very nice, asked to speak to a manager or the owner. They were not around. The lady said she would take a message and someone would call me back. I was fine with that. When she asked me what this was about, she got real nasty with me on the phone, told me that all prices go up and thats the price. She was so rude. This is their customer service??? I told her I guess my $3,000.00 wasn't enough to get good customer service from them. My neighbor wants a fence, three times the length but same look as mine and I told him about Liberty Fence. I too will need another section of fence by the end of this year for the other side of my yard. I told my neighbor to stay away from Liberty Fence. If their sales person tells me that they are ripping me off, then they are. Steve also told me he would call me back after talking to the owner and how I was treated. Guess what....no call back!!! Stay away from this company. Your money is good, their customer service stinks!!!!!!!!! Never will use this company again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

I called for over a month and was told they were not going to do anything about it. Find another company. Unless you are fluent in Spanish and can tell the installers exactly what you want done. Because the salesmen know nothing about the install, so when you speak about what you want done at the sales meeting it means nothing. more

Use another Fence Company!! 10/8/2011

Stay Away from this Company! The sales people were great, but the installers don't speak English, and they did my job the wrong way! I explained it to the office, and they blamed ME (3rd generation American who speaks perfect English) for the miscommunication. Then they came back to ""fix"" the problem, and did it half-as_ed. On top of that, they were expensive, and offered me no discount or incentive because THEY messed up. I am done with this company, and all companies in Long Island for that matter. I am sticking to Brooklyn/Queens/Westchester! more

WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY 5/25/2010

This company is has no reason to be in business. The sales person told me to f-mysef today. Why? Because he was late to the house by 2 hours. Why would anyone ever use a company that sends out morons to do sales calls. A call to the BBB of NY today and another call to Suffolk County Lic HI was needed for this company. The sales person was late, for a appointmnet and we were told to f-off. Stay far, far away from this company. They tell you all the great things they will do, but they will tell you F-OFF when they do not like it Pros: NOTHING Cons: EVERYTHING more

Avoid at all costs 2/24/2009

Recently I received a violation from the Town of Oyster Bay because the fence they installed was too high and not code compliant. Libery?s reply was that any permits needed is the responsibility of the buyer. I explained that I tired to get a permit but can't due to the height of the fence they installed. Liberty's response was to have a salesman try to rip me off for another $500 to correct their illegal work. They claim to be in business for over 30 years but are ignorant of the Town?s codes when it comes to fences. They just install whatever the customer wants, no matter how illegal it is. The manager even boosted that 99% of people don't get permits. Where is the Town of Oyster Bay now? Sounds like there is a problem here. Why is the homeowner suppose to know the contractor's trade? Talk about blaming the victim. Cons: too many to list more

Liberty Fence 11/24/2008

The company is great when they are ""selling the product"" very friendly and quick to respond to calls. Once we had the fence installed we had problems with it. We called only to be spoken to rudely. Phone calls not answered I had to keep calling and they did not come out promptly to repair the problem. Pros: interest free financing Cons: poor customer service and not easy to get them to make repairs if there is a problem more
