Our Daughter considered renting from Lexington Management and told them that she was on Housing and needed to be approved by Housing. Well, Housing wrote a letter to our Daughter and sent a copy to Lexington stating she wasn't approved unless they lowered the rent, or included both heat & water. I was the co-signer so out of the blue they call me and cunningly, dishonestly make up some BS about her not moving in on July 1st, 2012 so therefore I wouldn't be getting any of my security deposit back etc.($290.00 mind you!) "Christa" claims she never received a letter from Housing, she's a liar cause our Daughter received her and it was cc: Lexington Homes/Mangement. Then that "Christa" proceeds to tell me that our Daughter was accepted by Lexington, therefore she wasn't entitled to the security deposit. "Christa" said it didn't matter if Housing approved her or not, that Lexington approved her so the security deposit is theirs, even tho "Christa" stated that she had somebody that would be renting that particular apartment. I am so angry and can't believe that these people are still in business. I have been to every single apartment our Daughter has ever rented as we are always the co-signers, and not once has ANY apartment management EVER kept our money to hold the apartment, especially if Housing denied the unit. Lexington is nothing more than a dishonest, scamming, cunning, lieing, vulgar, uncaring, bunch of thieves! In this economy, who in the heck can afford to fork out that much money when you aren't even going to live there. That money was to be the security deposit, not FREE money for them to put in their pockets. I am in the process of filing a Small Claims action against them.
Either I get my $290.00 back in a week, or a suit will be pursued.
STAY AWAY FROM ANYTHING TO DO WITH LEXINGTON!! And as the other reviews have said... their work is lousy and cheap and they only care about themselves. I would never, ever have any business dealings with them again nor would I have anything good to say about them!
