Level 5 Salon

I had been looking for a regular hair stylist, so I decided to look on Citysearch. I wanted a chic salon cut, but I didn't want to have to pay the chic salon price :) I found Level 5 Salon and they received great reviews so I decided to try it. I loved the area, there is a little coffee shop next door and parking was easy. The salon was relaxing and stylish. Rosa did my cut and she is wonderful! I love my cut and it has been a month since my haircut and it still looks great. With the reasonable prices and great staff, I will definately become a regular customer. more

It's all true -- Level 5 is great. I'm sure all of the stylists are wonderful but I have to recommend Dawn Moodie in particular (925-339-3994), esp. for guys who want a great cut but don't really know what to ask for. Dawn has been simply amazing at helping me look my best and is just a great person to know. You won't be disappointed. I was loosing my hair. I was really loosing my hair. I was referred to Jessica by a classmate so I thought ok I will call her. I really didn?t think Jessica could help me, but I made an appt anyway. Jessica was wonderful; I didn?t feel embarrassed or ashamed. That was 2 months ago!! I am glad to say that my hair is so healthy and silky. My hair was saved!! Thank you Jessica!! more

I heard about Jessica R. at Level 5 hair salon in San Leandro. I dont let many stylist touch my hair, but she was highly recommended. Jessica has a wonderful skill and talent when it comes to hair care. She does just that she really cares about hair. The entire salon was great!! I highly recommend Jessica R.!!! more

I highly recommend Level 5!!! Rosa highlighted and cut my hair and she really did a wonderful job!!! She took her time and made sure the color and style is what I wanted. She then spent the next three hours taking great care of my hair. I was looking for a place b/c my last hair stylist made me wait too long despite an appointment. I loved the fact that Rosa gave me a call to let me know she was running 5 minutes behind schedule. That kind of personal services is hard to find! I have been searching for a place to get my hair done. Needless to say, I was really nervous going into a new salon and trusting someone with my hair but as soon as I walked in I felt at ease. The salon is very clean and chic yet still comfortable and welcoming. Rosa did a wonderful job with my cut and color. She went the extra mile to make sure I was completely satisfied, and that everything was to my liking. The prices are reasonable for the quality that you get. I had a great haircut by Rosa. She took her time with my hair and asked me what I wanted and how long it took me to get ready in the morning, etc.. She was very sweet and even offered to straighten my hair for free. I definitely want to go back so that I can have my hair colored by her. I was very happy with the cost and the salon itself is very clean and was decorated nice. I'm so lucky I am within walking distance to this great salon!!! I highly recommend it. more

I've only have had 5 people or so that regularly cut my hair (in my 38 years!). I figured I'd try out the new salon on MacArthur. The stylist, Rosa, was very professional and didn't push to color my grey. She styled it great the first time and I go back every three weeks or so. It's great to have someplace that accepts my silver and black hair as the ""distinguished"" look and not push me into coloring my hair everytime I walk in. The place is wonderful in design and taste. I'd recommend this to my friends buy most have shaven their heads! It's location is so great I usually spend an additional hour in the surrounding stores and cafes. Highly recommend to everyone. One of the things that worried me the most is the condition, health, color, and style of my hair. I have been looking for so long to find some one who truly care about my hair. When I met Rosa at Level 5 I was quite impressed by the special detail oriented, knowledge, care and the interest she took to make sure I was going to look my best. I have been looking for so long to find some who really knows what they are doing and to find Rosa is such a strike of luck. Because, I WAS SO PLEASEEEE with Rosa, I already book her for next weekend to help me to get ready for a big celebration at the Valencia Hotel in Santana Row. This is a classy, upscale salon on MacArthur Blvd in San Leandro close to the Oakland border and next to 580. I was very surprised to find it. My long, thick, wavy hair was trimmed by Rosa. Before seeing her, my previous hair stylist really messed my hair up with some layers that were wrong for my type of hair. Well, Rosa fixed my cut perfectly and got my hair back to looking even again and beautiful! She also recommended some fantastic hair products and my hair looks gorgeous. Also, I only paid $30 for the cut as I was a first time customer and got $5 off. I only have to get my hair cut every 3 months because I do not color it and I am trying to grow it even longer. When the time comes for my next cut, I will run, not walk, to have Rosa do my hair again. She is truly understanding of what I want and she is a warm and sincere person. I really like her and I am very happy with my experience at Level 5! more

I live nearby and could not wait for this salon to open. Finally, San Leandro has an upscale hair salon! I've had to drive to San Francisco or San Ramon to get my hair cut or colored. I was given a flyer by someone named Nicole as I walked by, offering a discount to try services there. I was already planning on checking them out so I booked an appointment. I've wanted to change my hair color for some time so I asked for Nicole's opinion. She suggested going with a chocolatey tone to warm my color. The result was beautiful. I also got a really cute layered cut. The cost was very reasonable compared to going to S.F. I am very happy with my services at this salon. They are very professional and welcoming. I was also very happy to see Rene Furterer sold in this salon because I like to use good quality products after I spend money on my hair. I ended up buying a shampoo to protect my color as recommended by Nicole. She was very knowledgable about the differences between all of the different products. The salon is decorated very tastefully and modern and I was made to feel very welcome. They even offered me a complementary glass of wine! Wow! I would definately recommend this salon to newcomers.
