There is nothing more important than finding an HONEST repair shop, who will not rip you off. After conducting numerous research and visiting numerous transmissions repair shops in the Reno/Sparks area, Jesse from Levco beat them all. Jesse was upfront, honest and knows what they are doing. Jesse and his crew are very impressive. They work later than any one else in Reno/Sparks that I have ever seen, and they really go the distance to make sure they offer you services at a very fair price. I own a 2003 Acura (they are expensive to fix) and live in California, after a couple months with my check engine light on, we finally coughed up the $55 to Aamco to have my car checked out. Well a few hours later they tell me that I need a new transmission or I need to have mine rebuilt and it would cost me $3200!! So I start calling around and couldnt find anything less than around $2000, I was getting frusterated fast. So an idea pops into my head to check in Nevada and found Levco Transmissions. The help i got from Jesse was outstanding, he called around and worked with me financially. It was well worth the trip to Sparks to have Levco put my new transmission in. After a very horrible experience and false advertising with Harry's Quality Cars, I took my 2000 Honda Accord into Jesse and his team to get it checked out. My car was leaking oil and transmission fluid all over the place after three days of driving it and many other things that resulted in having to replace the engine entirely. I was shocked and devastated at the bad news and lies that were fed to me by this POS lot and really didn't have much money to get all this fixed. Jesse was very compassionate and honest about the situation and worked with me financially so I could get everything fixed that I needed to. They kept in contact with me everyday with the progress of my car and physically showed me every single thing that was wrong before they fixed it so I knew that they were genuinely honest and not just saying something needed to be fixed that didn't like most other mechanics do. I am pleased beyond belief with the work they did and have found a new place I can trust to take my vehicles. If I could give more stars I would, these guys are amazing and you will not be disappointed. more

I have a 95 chevy lumina thanks to Jesse and his employees saved me my car and money. I lost my job and then my car starts to give me a hard time. Took it to a couple well known places and they replaced parts and told me it might be my engine and charged me a grip. The problems just begun. They still didnt fix it and now on my way home my transmission went out. I was thinkin why me,why this, and now. I called a tow truck when the guy showed up and asked what happened I told him transmission problems he said he knows a place thats the cheapest in town and will help me out . I wasnt thinkin to fix it I was just goin to sell it for parts or somethen . After thinkin so hard I called Levco Transmission And Automotive Talked to Jesse and explained where i got his number and what was goin on with my car he said he would like to take a look at it and arranged for a tow truck to take it to his shop . He called me back and told me that its worth keepin and found some wire plugs unpluged and asked how much i wanted to put in to it he said ok and will call me back tomorrow and let me know what he finds . He called and told me some great news it was goin to be cheaper then want i was goin to put in i told him do it and call me when its done. Couple days later he called and said its ready for pick up . I rushed down there and Jesse explained what he did and what he found that the other places didnt and when I test drove it . I didnt even think it was my car it ran so great and smooth better then its ever ran. I knew right there I found a new place for my Automotive Repairs. I got back to the shop and told Jesse i can't believe my cars back on the road and he did good It never ran like this before. Jesse knows what he's doin. Thanks Levco Much Respect more

Jesse and his team were fast, professional, and CHEAP!! I will go back to them from now on. They worked on my car until midnight just to get it out to me on time..on budget.. and fixed right. All you other guys could take lessons from these guys. Very happy customer! more

I have a 1998 Red Honda Accord. I had always taken it to the Honda dealership in Reno, but my last experience was poor and I realized I needed to find an honest company. A friend referred me to Levco Transmission and told me to talk to Jesse. I must say I consider him to be a good friend and part of my extended family along with Victor, his brother, and Herman and employee. They are always so willing to go out of their way to help me and are extremely professional in every thing they do. I took my Honda (yes, Honda's sometimes breakdown) into Levco after my engine completely overheated and began smoking. What a disaster. Jesse, the owner diagnosed the problem in a short amount of time and got to work on my radiator right away. He explained why my car overheated, fixed the problem, and guaranteed the work. Did I mention this was on the weekend?!?! Awesomeness. I was driving back to work on Monday worry free!!! Thank you Jesse!!!! You're a lifesaver!!! more

My original experience as well as my follow up experience at Levco were great. I went in to get my spark plugs replaced. As I walked in to the shop I received a friendly greeting and given all the details I needed about my repair in an easy to comprehend way. I was explained all my options and then according to price and quality, and then the work was done in a quick and timely manner. Unfortunately I started having problems with my car a couple of months later. I was frustrated so I called Jesse (the owner of the shop) I explained to him the problem. He said it sounds like you have a bad spark plug bring in your vehicle and I will take care of it. The faulty spark plug was not his fault or caused by the instalation of the spark plug, it was just a bad spark plug he had received from the manufacturer. However he still replaced the bad spark plug for me at no cost. He also allowed me to bring my car in immediately with no appointment to avoid any complications of not having a vehicle. Jesse is very profesional and I will continue to take my car back for any future service more

I work for the Reno Gazette Journal as a carrier and my clutch went out on my 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, during my route. I called a few places, got a few quotes, when I called Levco Transmission and talked to Jesse who told me he would beat anybodies price. He gave me the number to a friend with a tow truck whos price beat everybodies price out the water, and Jesse fixed the clutch, and fixed a few more problems that were wrong with my car, without charging me labor on much needed repairs. The final price was 60% lower than ALL of the compition in the city of Reno, and Sparks, NV.I will NEVER take my car anywhere else. Thanks, Jesse and the crew at Levco Transmission. more

By June 2010, I knew the transmission in my son?s Honda Accord had to be rebuilt. Because my son is a full-time teacher and I am an emeritus professor, I took on the task of getting it repaired. The ?going rate? from reputable shops gave me vertigo. During a routine visit for realignment, I asked Pep Boys if it could recommend an honest but more reasonable transmission shop--one that had all the necessary credentials and licensure but which was more affordable. Pep Boys sent me to Levco. At Levco, I was politely greeted and soon given an estimate that, while certainly competitive with the two estimates I already had, was still more money than my son and I had in our combined budgets. That evening, however, I received a telephone call from Jesse Salinas. He identified himself as the owner. He said that he felt bad that Pep Boys had sent me to Levco, and, in effect, that Levco had turned me away with an estimate that was apparently beyond my means. He quoted another price, asking if I could afford it. It was very, very competitive--more than fair and reasonable. I said, ?yes, my son and I could handle that.? Levco rebuilt the transmission and, at my request, fixed some other problems (air condition, oil leaking from valve covers, two broken engine mounts) at very competitive prices, prices where there was no mark-up on parts. When I stopped by once or twice to see how the ?rebuilt? going, Jesse?s men, always courteous, offered me soft drinks and some of the pizza they were having for lunch. I had never seen nicer people at an automotive shop--or, for that matter, anywhere. In June 2011, I noticed a small leak from the shift shaft seal. I brought the motorcar in. Jesse put it up on the rack; took the shift shaft apart while I stood next to him; found the leaky seal; and, while he was ?at it,? checked everything else with the transmission as well as the undercarriage, all while giving me a most valuable tutorial on a number of subjects. There was no charge because the work was under warranty. In sum, I give Levco the highest rating possible: It is an honest shop with fair prices and excellent service. more

I was referred to Jesse when I bought a 1994 Ford Explorer last month and it was overheating. Initially it looked like a blown gasket and I was looking at a minimum of $1000. Jesse asked me to leave the car so that they could investigate more. I was out of town for a few days and when I returned I was told that Victor had discovered the radiator cap was worn and shot. That was ALL that I needed :))) Not a hint of running hot since and I travel over Mt Rose regularly. I am so happy and Levco has a new and loyal customer!! Thanks, guys!! more

I have a 1990 Dodge w250 4x4 With the Automatic Transmission in it. When I bought this truck about 4 years ago the tranny was leaking BAD. About 3 years ago I brought it into Levco to have the Front Seal Replaced, fluid changed out , new tranny mounts and a new screen put in. I also had them put new axle seals in both the right and left side. I was a lil' nervous as I have heard these Chrysler Tranny's can be very tricky and problematic if they are not put back in exactly right. Jesse and his crew did a wonderful Job! 3 years later and still no leaks or complaints! He charged me a very fair price and also met me at the shop at 5 in the morning due to my work schedule! NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! more

I tried to do business here. Not a good experience at all. bottom line I paid a lot of money was called a liar and had to take my car somewhere else to get repaired. Do yourself a favor just go somewhere else. more
