Les Schwab

The only "sudden service" at the McMinnville Oregon store is when they want your money.\r \r I took a tire from a friends car in because it went flat every 5 days or so. I was helping them out. I explained this to the person who finally spoke with me. They were busy so I had to wait 45 minutes. I was never told an approximate wait time.\r \r When they finally finished I was handed a bill for $12.50 to fix the rim flat. I have purchased tires from Les Schwab for many years and never paid to have a flat fixed. I expressed this to them and the response was "this isn't a Schwab tire so we charge. Where did you buy the tire?" Hello! I told you I was getting this fixed for a freind, did you listen?\r \r In to pay the bill and expressed the same situation and "Not a Schwab tire, where did you buy them?" They didn't listen either.\r \r I understand they are in business to make money. Simply telling me that there was a charge before doing the work would have gone a long way. I went into Les Schwab a couple weeks ago to have my tires rotated, which I have been doing on a regular basis for 10+ yrs. This happen to be at least the third time on this vehicle and set of tires. It took them all of 5 minutes and then they told be my bill was $47.50. I was shocked for 1 because I have never been charged to have that service done and 2 why so much?!? I asked them why they proceded to tell me my tires did not come from them so they charge per tire for that service. I replied with I have never been charged in the past and you have rotated these tires before. He replied with I don't care you should have been charged. I then replied with well why wasn't I told this before you did the service. We assume you know. Hmm No I didn't because again I have never been charged before. I then say if I would have known you were going to charge I would have taken it to my service station cause they will do all 4 tires for $16!!!!! He tells me I should go there then. I as more

This is by far my favorite auto related place!! Located right off Hwy 99 in McMinnville, it's very easy to find...lots of parking and a large waiting area inside with free coffee, popcorn, newspapers, and TV. And just like the commercials say, they really do come running out as soon as you park!! Everyone is so helpful and nice, whether your getting your car worked on or just paying the bill, the personnel are great! They excel in their customer retention and customer service abilities. They are extremely considerate and polite. Could not find a better auto store anywhere. Only downfall is that I wish they matched competitors prices and/or coupons, but they've got great prices none the less and any price difference is definitely made up for in their wonderful totally free warranties!! If you so much as think your tire looks low you can just drive right up and ask them, they almost jump at the chance to fix it and show off their great customer service! Their service is fine. Prices are good. The people are always nice and helpful. Good location and easy to find. They offer free rotation and balance with the purchace of their tires. more

Les Schwab's employees are very confident in their work and are very quick to help their customers. They also have popcorn for the restless children. Two thumbs up! more

Overall, I am extremely impressed with Les Schwab. They specialize in selling tires, but they also do car repair. The great thing is that when you buy tires from them, they will repair them for free whenever you have a flat, unless you need a new one, which you'd have to buy. They serve free popcorn and coffee in the waiting room, which is a nice touch. The employees have provided fast and very professional service. more

Prices are pretty comparable and perhaps not even as low as some other competitors, however, Les Schwab's service is very fast. I was in and out very quickly. more
