Lerner, A David, Md - Camellia Women's Health

I went to Dr. Lerner more then 10 years ago for a laparoscopy to remove some endometriosis on my ovaries. Well...he finished and sent me home that same day. I could not keep anything down and was in the worest pain I have ever been in. My sister ended up calling the hopital and relaying the symptoms. She ended up taking me back to the hospital. When I got there I was told by Dr. Lerner I needed emergency surgery. After I woke up from the surgery I was told that Dr. Lerner had ""accidently"" nicked my colon during the first surgery and I had been suffering from Peritonitis and that was why I was in so much pain. According to the hospital if I had waited and not come in I would have died within 6hrs. After spending 5 days in the hospital, I was released and I dont have to tell you how devastating It was to be a 22 year old girl and have look a huge scar across my stomache from an ""accident"" . Everyday I look in the mirror and am remided of Dr. Lerner and if only I had known. I urge anyone that is thinking of going to this man for anything ..think twice. There are good Dr.s out there you just need to ask the right questions. Its your body.. more

I WAS DUE TO DELIVER MY BABY THE WEEK I WENT IN ON MONDAY. BY WEDNESDAY, MY BABY HAD DIED INSIDE OFF ME. WHEN DR. LERNER DID NOT HEAR THE HEARTBEAT AND I WENT TO GET THE ULTRASOUND, HE SAID, ""I HAVE BAD NEWS, YOUR BABY IS DEAD"", I STARTED CYRING UNCONTROLLABLY AND TOLD HIM I WANTED MY HUSBAND, HE SAID,""WHEN YOU ARE IN CONTROL OF YOURSELF WE WILL CALL YOUR HUSBAND."" HE THEN TOLD ME TO GO TO THE BACK OF THE HOSPITAL SO HE COULD INDUCE MY LABOR, HE HAD ME GO TO THE BACK OF THE HOSPITAL WHERE THE ENTRANCE WAS NEAR THE NURSERY. THIS WAS HORRIBLE, AND I HAD TO STAY IN THE MATERNITY WARD FOR TWO DAYS HEARING NEWBORNS CRY. AFTER I GOT OUT AND TOLD HIM I NEEDED HELP WITH MY HUSBAND IN COPING WITH THE DEATH OF OUR BABY AND THAT MY HUSBAND IS NOT BEING VERY COMFORTING, HE TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE LOCKS AND KICK HIM OUT. I WAS VERY UPSET WHEN DR DAVID LERNER TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO RE TAKE A TEST, JUST TO MAKE ME PAY FOR EXTRA TEST. HES ATTITUDE IS REALLY UGLY, HE DOES NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR MEDICAL PROBLEMS. HE GETS MAD IF YOU GO AGAINST HIM AND HE GETS MAD IF YOU ASK TO MUCH ABOUT RESULTS OR WHY AND FOR WHAT HE ORDER SOMUCH TEST. I HAVE SEEN HIM 3 TIMES AND HIS ATTITUDE IS THE SAME, MAYBE HE JUST GOT TIRED OF SEEING TO MANY WOMEN WITH MEDICAL PROBLEMS. I CHOOSE HIM BECAUSE HE GRADUATE IN MEXICO IN 1994 SO I SAID LET ME GO WITH HIM BECAUSE I AM FROM GUADALAJARA, BUT THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE. I RECOMEND YOU TO CHECK ON DOCTOR'S REVIEWS BEFORE GOING TO THEIR PLACE, SINCE SOME DOCTORS ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY NOT THE PATIENT. Cons: ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY HE CAN MAKE. more

Ok, so I am going to agree with these ladies, Dr. Lerner doesnt have the best attitude in the world, but that doesnt make a great doctor. He was the on call doctor the night my daughter was being born, and there were complications, I ended up having to have an emergency C Section and though not the most sensitive man in the world, Dr Lerner got my daughter out safely, quickly, and with no issues. After the procedure he joked around with me, I was laughing on the operating table, he is a great doctor. He saved me, and my daughters lives and because of that this time around I decided just to switch to him so that I can do a scheduled c section with this baby. After all, to me the most important thing in a doctor is that they do their job well, Dr. Lerner does just that. I did, and still do trust him with my life and my childs life. more

I am a ist time Mom i was new to the area and thought that maybe since it was a womens clinic that they would be helpful. I was so so so wrong. Dr.Lerner is disgusting, i have never felt more disrespected before in my life. I learned more from reading prgnancy books than i did from my nurse and Dr.Lerner. They lost my glucose test results and made me pay for the test three times, and when i said i dont have anymore money they threatned to cancel my prenatal care (7 months into my pregnancy). Everytime i had a appointment i waited no less than 45 min past my appt. to be seen, and then when he finally came in with his negitive attitude i was seen for maybe 5 minutes tops. I will never ever reccommend thisP.O.S. to anyone, in fact i called my insurance to make sure they never refer anyone to this place. If someone mentions it to you, just go the opposite direction. Its not even a step-up from a Planned Parenthood clinic, i have even been there and its nicer there. Cons: everything more

I came to the clinic, and had to wait from my scheduled time about 1hour 20 min more. After all this waiting Dr Lerner entered the room with a very negative, confrontational attitude, did not want to listen about my health problems, did not want to reffer me to spacialists, and became very disrespectful, agressive and confrontational in his conversation. I refused to deal with him and will never recommend this MD to anybody else more

I went to their clinic to have a surgery done. It was a fairly simple procedure. They rescheduled me 4 times then told me I wasn't covered under the program I was signed up under. I have never been so bounced around, and dealt with so many people that were misinformed. more
