I went to Dr. Lerner more then 10 years ago for a laparoscopy to remove some endometriosis on my ovaries. Well...he finished and sent me home that same day. I could not keep anything down and was in the worest pain I have ever been in. My sister ended up calling the hopital and relaying the symptoms. She ended up taking me back to the hospital. When I got there I was told by Dr. Lerner I needed emergency surgery. After I woke up from the surgery I was told that Dr. Lerner had ""accidently"" nicked my colon during the first surgery and I had been suffering from Peritonitis and that was why I was in so much pain. According to the hospital if I had waited and not come in I would have died within 6hrs. After spending 5 days in the hospital, I was released and I dont have to tell you how devastating It was to be a 22 year old girl and have look a huge scar across my stomache from an ""accident"" . Everyday I look in the mirror and am remided of Dr. Lerner and if only I had known. I urge anyone that is thinking of going to this man for anything ..think twice. There are good Dr.s out there you just need to ask the right questions. Its your body..
